yeah agreed. and the "I paid for this, gimme gimme gimme" attitude does not help us out either. great to see they're well received around the world.

jeff was so fucking sick too and I think tonight #41 and DREAMING TREE were simply perfect. and dave's jam on jimi thing?....he was CRAAAAAZY (jeff playing two saxophones at the same time was a lot of fun too :-) )

dave (actually everone on stage) was really loose tonight and he was so fucking amazed by the audience that he couldn't help but keep saying GRAZIE (thank you) over and over.

when they returned on stage after the first break a large part of the audience wore groogrux king masks and they throw one to dave, who immidiately put that on.

It was such a great show and the setlist, should we even talk about it....double encore! And the funny thing is that someone was already leaving the square when they got back on stage!! :-)

That was my first DMB show, but I'm sure they'll be back again (and this time they won't let us wait 11 years!!) bacause you really could tell from the expression on their faces that they were really amazed by the audience reaction to the show and they were really enjoying playing there.

today I feel a lucky italian...so damn lucky.... :-)

PS: they should definitely make this show the next live trax...
what a great first show. lucky italian sounds like a sweet name for a sandwich.. haha, italy oh italy, lucky were you.

great setlist. A double encore would be pretty awesome. Just curious (and too lazy to look on the almanac), I wonder when the last time a double encore was played here in the states?

It would suck if they made this the next live trax. There have been a bunch of shows in the states this tour that I think are a helluva lot better candidates than this show. SPAC N2 or Burgettstown N2 should be the next live trax.

i think this show would be a good LT release....maybe not quite as good as Starlake would be....but i really wouldn't be surprised if they released more European shows....

My first DMB show. FUCKING SICK, worth every effort spent.

The crowd was so amazing, I can't tell you. The boys went nuts on the stage, they couldn't believe what was going on. And they gave us a monster sick two step, dreaming tree, 3h15min set with a double encore. Even though it was my first concert, I've heard hundreds before and knew this was a very special one. The crowd got the best out of the band!

thanks It was my birthday, too.. couldn't have been any better.

Btw, since nobody hasn't noted it yet. Dave managed to kill two strings simultaneously during the two step jam and the guys had a really good laugh at the stage

Does anyone have any pics to share? Even pics during the daytime before DMB took the stage. Since this was in a piazza of a small town in Tuscany I would love to see some pics of the area, stage, piazza, etc. Seems like it would be amazing.

Nor Everyday, Cornbread and Rye Whiskey were planned... http://dmbalmanac.com/setscans/453056686.jpg
The band was freaking excited...they get totally crazy...I swear you I heard something I've never heard...Dave started a jam from nowhere never heard...Carter was really really freaking out doing things weird...Fonz jumped and smile almost all the time...Dave danced ALL the time he was totally crazy...at a certain point he went on his knee and bow on the ground to the crowd it's an image that I'll never got out of my head...
After the 1° encore Carter Dave and Fonz started together to give to the crowd the sticks...Dace came down on the speakers to gave hand and wind kisses to everybody on the fron row...then they turn back as to go out and Dave and Carter spoke together and smile cheerfully and then get back (I mean for the 2° encore they don't even get out the stage) to their place and re-start!!
I think I'll never ever forget for all my life this day...and neither them!

I want to say "Thank you, Grazie" to Corsina. Without her and the Italian DMB fan group's efforts , this concert in Italy would have never become true, i suppose...

haha

well, de place was completely open until 6pm, then it got cleaned an everyone had to wait in huge queues to get in again. It was a bit stupid if you ask me..

and yeah, it could really be. but the angle he was filming from was more far away than i was standing.

Here's carters solo during two step. (not mine)

btw: here's a good "summary" video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7gAM4cY_YM
there you can also see that Everday was not planned but the crowd chanted "hani hani.." and they decided to play it.
