I've seen some hit or miss versions of tabs for the Big Whiskey songs here and on the dmbtabs.com forums. Has anyone spent the time to try these tabs out, watch some videos of Dave playing from last summer, and put together all the legit BW tabs in one place yet?

I was thinking about doing it over the next week or so but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting my time doing something that someone has already done.

I don't think they are all in one place, but i'm pretty sure there is an accurate tab for everything out there somewhere. There's nothing I haven't been able to find/figure out

are you playing the chords in their standard shapes? You're making it way to difficult on yourself. Go to dmbtabs.com for the right way/easier way to play it

No don't listen to that guy. I like how you played it with open chords. It sounds different. Everyone plays the "dave" way and they all sound the same.

Nice cover. Plus it sounds fuller with those oepn chords rather than just two notes of a chord.

Anyone know a good source for captain tabs? I hear it is fairly difficult due to the far stretchy chords but I am pretty used to that from playing his songs, he uses alot of the same chord shapes i.e. two step, american baby, dancing nancies, fool to thing, raven. Anyway just wondered if anyone has mastered captain yet? Just wondering if its a fun song to play and a good tab source. Jam on!!

I think your fingers are most likely in the right spots. Copperpots video has a really good shot of the whole thing. I think, and I could be wrong, that he has it in an alternate tuning. I ran across that somewhere, I'll see if I can find it.
