Matt and Jake,

I decided to start today listening to your podcast, sitting here with the house to myself. Actually went through it twice, the first time I kept stopping and backing up and replaying little bits. I was pretty unfamiliar with a lot of the early live bits you chose, and they were such a joy and a pleasure after spending the last few days listening mostly to the band's shows on 8-19 and 8-20, which were kind of cathartic but certainly not joyful like these pieces you have used here for your podcast. I was smiling and tearing up at what was so good and now is gone. But this is a good thing to do. I will be searching out some of these downloads for sure.

Thank you both for offering your reflections on Roi and for sharing a few of your favorite times of Roi shining. You mentioned your pride in this community. I believe that what is special about this community is, for one thing of course, the band itself which has offered so much musical and personal diversity so maybe attracts diversity, but otherwise I think it can certainly be traced back to you and what you offer here, such as this podcast, which kind of brings us back to the roots, right?

Peace to all during these sad days today and tomorrow, especially to Roi's family and loved ones.

Thanks to Matt & Jake for this podcast. The audio montage turned out great. Listening to your discussions makes me feel part of a family full of members I don't know, or will ever know. But we have a common bond, our love of DMB music, and our love of DMB members and family. It is hard to express to my own family and friends the mourning I feel, but reading about it, listing to your podcast, and discussing it here helps to heal.

Peace & Love to LeRoi Moore's family, the DMB family, and all the Ants out there still marching.

LIOG + Watchtower = some truly sick shit. Wow. Thanks for putting things in perspective. As much as being in LA for the shows was surreal, this really makes things start to hit home. Thanks for sharing this podcast with us all. We truly do appreciate it.

It looks like a great show, and I can't listen to it till I'm home where my ipod program is, but I have a small suggestion. Of all the songs you mentioned, I just spent an hour discovering that only two songs could be downloaded from Antsmarching. Why not seed all these shows which you selected your songs from and make them available on antsmarching so others can download these shows and the "great songs" you listed? Only the 6/21/93 show and the 8/08/02 show were available. The others 14 shows don't have a download link. Or you could put the songs in a downloadable format in their entirety, with no commentary - It would save a lot of time for those of us trying to put together a "Bereaved as I'm Feeling" CD... Plus I think I'd like to hear the rest of LeRoi's performance in these shows - it stands to reason that if he's ripping it up on one song, he might be on fire for the rest of the show as well. It seems time to re-post these great shows everybody is talking about, but the rest of us "slightly-less devoted fans" can't get because they aren't available anymore. I have over 200 shows, but not the ones you are talking about... Thanks and please know that I intend this not as criticism but as just a suggestion - you guys are doing a great service even if you don't make the shows available... Jeff

Because I want to listen to them on my ipod. I downloaded it from am.org, but itunes treats it as a music mp3, and not a podcast.

It does, but they are labeled as an mp3 music file. Podcasts downloaded from itunes are tagged as a podcast, so they show up as a podcast.

Yeah, I do. In my ipod, its in its own little "folder". You clik podcasts, and all the podcasts show up.

The other day I figured out how to play podcasts on my ipod and went back and listened to this whole episode, and it's definitely my favorite one. it was awesome to listen to Roi shine on the mix Jake made. Is there any way someone can up Jake's tribute to Roi, or possible even the full versions of the songs used?

It was cool to listen back to hear the immediate reaction to Roi's passing now that it happened nearly 8 months ago. There was so much love and hope in the community that - I hope we don't forget that
