    Congrats OP. I closed on my condo yesterday too. My closing was less than an hour. I went in thinking I'd be signing a mountain of stuff, but it wasn't too bad. About a month ago I walked away from a short sale after waiting 8 months, glad to see you were able to get a short sale.

    I was looking at real estate in Santa Monica the other day. Seems like you can get a decent, yet small place for about 500K. I also checked out the greater LA area... looks like I wont be buying a house out there anytime soon.
