This 100%. And the thing is, everyone at the show knows it. I know a handful of people there now and they are all very much aware that the show exists for 'Best of' purposes.
If you ask the modern naysayers what the best early 2000s or mid 90s sketches, the will name the same like 50 sketches. There's not really some mass amount of deep cuts that are hilarious and flew under the radar. Skits either hit or miss, are remembered or are forgotten. It's been that way since the 70s.
