Favorite Misc Release Song

Joyride for me. That's always been one of my favorite DMB songs.

To see live, definitely Joyride. Had to vote for the fly though honestly. That song at the end of that movie is perfect, and stands on it's own. One of the more haunting tunes Dave ever wrote. Good stuff.

Yeah I generally agree with that. It was an interesting concept that wasn't really well executed. But the last scene is actually pretty good. I thought it was an excellent, unexpected twist with the uncle bit, but yeah the whole build up probably isn't worth the payoff. But it's definitely worth watching just to appreciate the context behind what I think is an amazing song.

I agree about #27. Seems like nobody ever mentions that song and I really enjoy it. Always thought it would be great as a regular in the E1 spot.

If you check Almanac, it isn't included as "Misc Release" because it is a live only song and hasn't seen a official release (I think that's how they do that). So I didn't include it

The Fly is really underrated, I will say. Was listening to random DMB rarities on You Tube the other day and this is a very good song.

Gotta be beach ball and totally agree it's the best of big whiskey material. Wish it was developed and played more full band, but is such a good song that it stands strong when just played solo by Dave. Joyride is definitely good but the chorus gets a little repetitive

I love the Little Red Bird companion disc as a whole. I think if they would have included the studio version of cornbread on the domestic Big Whiskey release it would have been a really great double album. Or just a long single LP.

Beachball has got to be the best, with LRB and 27 following close behind. I like Write A Song, but it's kind of cheesy after a couple listens. It's ear candy, but not a ton of substance.
