Re: Here on out - new song

I liked it on my first listen and really like the transcribed lyrics! I wonder why they didn't play it full band this past summer?

thanks for the recording. hopefully, the broadcast soundboard will help my opinion, but i wasn't impressed with it last night. felt like a flatline to me. the rest of the program was enjoyable; samurai cop sounded great stripped down away from the band, but his voice was on point during it..something I hadn't noticed with the other versions without the band. ants was fun, but joshua bell's first few performances were the highlight for me.

Felt like an extended version of Belly Full.

I liked it; hope to hear a more clean version or see the guitar work he is doing.

Its a pretty little song that reminds me of butterfly a little bit. Or belly full kind of. I fear it will be boring full band but it will be great Dave and Tim

Not at all, considering we saw this title on a music sheet, last fall I think it was?

I really dig this new song... along with the others debuted this summer. I could see all of these released on a D&T studio album, which I think would be fantastic.

This song definitely feels like a Dave solo song, not something I really care to hear the band on as they probably wont add much because its fairly meek. The orchestra sounds great on it too and makes sense that being what they supposedly used on it in the studio.

I'm interested in seeing this as a DMB song to see how it would change. It has some really strong lyrics, a mellow jazzy vibe like B&BB would work great with it.

Its much simpler than BBB though. I dont think the band would add alot to it, personally.

I hope this was written as a solo song and not a full band song. Simply because if they do release an album I would hope its full of songs that actually feature the entire band and not just Dave. Just off the top this feels kind of like Sweet, a song that doesnt really need a backing band. But even with saying that, I do like what the band adds to sweet live, and im sure I would like whatever they would add to this, I just dont think it would be a whole lot.

That's true but I think only having the simple Dave solo version with the orchestra makes it feel smaller than it is when the full band played it in the recording sessions. Either way I do like the song and hope it sticks around at D&T shows and DMB when they come back.

This song full band would work well in the acoustic setting... but full band electric not sure.

Dave solo or Dave and Tim would be great
