That would be freaking amazing.

I am reading the series for the first time. I just finished Half Blood Prince.
I know Snape is good but I am freaking out why he killed Dumbledore. I haven't read th Deathly Hallows yet but I saw part 1 of the movie. I don't remeber if they explained about Snape or not(when I saw the movie I had only seen Sorcer's Stone and read none of the books so everything went over my head)

Forgive me but I have to ask the obvious... why then did you bother watching DH Part 1?

Friends were going, but I honestly don't remeber anything other than Dobby dying.

I am starting Deathly Hallows this week so even though I saw the movie it will still be all suprises for me.

Deathly Hallows is easily my favorite of the 7 books. JKR's writing is top notch in this book and the characters are at their most likable stage IMO.

If you hadn't heard yet, Part 1 will officially hit the street on April 15th, and there will at least be some deleted scenes.

I gotta think we're not too far away from seeing the first dedicated Part 2 trailer.

Not too far, as in the next couple weeks? Or do you think they'll keep it shelved for the DVD?

Well I think it's extremely likely that a Part 2 trailer will be on the DVD, but it's very rare anymore (if ever) when a trailer exclusively debuts on a video release, hell most of the time they're officially debuted online even before the theater.

What I don't really understand is the boxed set they're doing of movies 1-6 and then Part 1 of 7 here, and those people that will buy it. Why in the world wouldn't you just wait the other 6 months roughly and get the true "entire" series all in one mega set?

My problem is I already have all six 2-disc special editions, but I really want to get the nice big set when they all come out. My other debate is whether to buy Part 1 on DVD right when it comes out or wait until I can buy Part 1 and 2 together, which they'll obviously do. I want the maximum number of special features.

I'd guess Sucker Punch. It'll be in IMAX so they can roll out the trailer in that

Really, ya think? It's almost exactly a full 5 months from theatrical release. By today's standards I'd say it's actually a little on the longer side. But, I don't know even nowadays it's still all over the place. There's some titles hit the street barely 3 months after theatrical, then other ones inexplicably it takes like 6-7 months.

Btw, I only just very recently made a kind of funny discovery. I had always thought ever since OOTP that the exact actor who played Aberforth in that would play him in DH, even though of course technically speaking, we don't know that barman of the Hogs Head that we see for all of 2.5 seconds actually is Aberforth, that we don't find that out until later in DH. And, I really do wonder if the IMDB was changed at some point along the way, because I always could've sworn that from when I first checked, the name was always correct on the OOTP's cast page on there. Anyway because I was watching Munich the other day for the first time in a few years, and I noticed it said Cirian Hinds in the credits, and by now I'd been aware that was the actors name playing Aberforth in Hallows. Turns out he's one of those character actors whose face I know, but before now I'd never fully connected it with his real name. And he actually on the face of it (I think, at least) doesn't really look much anything like Michael Gambon, but obviously we shall see what they do with makeup.

Though, sort of speaking of that, I still say that, when early on in the story Harry's looking at the mirror and sees the quick flash of an eyeball and in the book ultimately we're given to understand that was Aberforth, that it's shown he was 'watching over' Harry for most of the length of Hallows, for the actual movie, I still say what we actually see in that moment is still Gambon's eye (it was used in multiple trailers, too).
