Re: Comcast/Verizon/Etc Complaints
Alright so this is my first fuck comcast post.
I moved into my townhouse in September. When I called to order service from Comcast they asked what I wanted? told them I just needed the comcast double play, with like 70 HD channels, and blast internet. They threw in HBO free for a year and asked if I wanted a DVR. I said not at the moment, but am thinking about it shortly. The guy on the phone said no problem, you can add it whenever and that it would be $17 more a month.
So Saturday my gf and I decide to get the DVR and call to add it. After being on hold 30 minutes someone answers and I tell them that I just want to add a DVR. A lady tells me that I would have to get the triple play in order to get a DVR. I said i dont' think that's right, and told her about what the guy told me when I ordered my service less than two months ago. She said that wasn't right, and that we need to get phone service in order to get a DVR. I told her I didn't want phone service and I just wanted DVR. She said quote " you don't have to use the phone, but you need to pay for it in order to get the DVR". I couldn't believe how stupid this bitch was. I asked to speak to someone else and was placed back on hold for another 20 minutes. Finally someone else answers and the dude spoke no english at all. He kept saying "channels change" I told him I didn't want to change any channels, and that I just wanted a DVR. I got nowhere with him, and told him I'd call back.
Last night during sunday night football, my service cut out during half time and had to watch the rest of the game on my ipad. This is nothing new with the x1 platform, so I didn't think nothing of it.
Today after work I come home and no longer have HD. I called immediately and was on hold for just under an hour. A lady answers and pulls up my account to tell me that it says I never had HD service. I told her politely that I've had it for the past two months, and that if I didn't have it, then why am I paying for it? She said she would have to transfer me to billing.
20 minutes later a guy in billing answers and he pulls up my account to tell me...wait for this and I swear on my grandfathers grave this is what he said.."this billing department doesn't handle your billing, we need to transfer you to another billing department" He then told me it would be useless since that billing department closes at 9pm and it was 8:50pm. So I just hung up.
This was all because I just wanted to add a DVR.
so tomorrow i'm cancelling comcast and going with verizon fios.
