Take out Angel . . . and what do you have? A setlist that people are going nuts over. Yes, I included I Did It as a cool thing to see because 38 shows and 11 years into seeing DMB, I've never witnessed it.

Tonight I had an urge to listen to some live 'So Right', and the go-to is the Live at Folsom Field. Then I got to thinking about how it's one of my favorite live releases that doesn't get a ton of love.

Anyone else dig the Folsom Field release? Since I joined the boards way back when (02, I think?) it blew my mind how much it got shat on.

Central Park and Folsom were the first Full Band live releases I was introduced to(D&T Luther College was my first album). Love them both for having amazing performances of my favorite songs. Endless memories associated with both releases. Continue to listen to Folsom for its quintessential versions of BEF,Bartender, and So Right

No doubt, same here! CP and Folsom solidified my love for the band. I was one who got hooked on the studio stuff, and had an odd time cracking the live stuff for some reason. I love Red Rocks now, but it didn't get me immediately. FF and CP have this immediacy, dare I say "crossover appeal" that even someone in their earliest stages of fandom would really appreciate.

I don't understand what the problem is with Angel. It does drag on a bit, but I like it as a song.

Nice guilty pleasure without the dragged out Lovely Ladies middle section. It does have a great guitar lick throughout.

The bolded stretch really sags, especially Angel, as OP noted.

Lift that section out and this show gets a lot better in a hurry, despite the inclusion of Space Between.

folsom is the most underrated release this band has, IMO.

sad to think that as this concert is going, exactly 2 months later the world would be changed.

I like Roi's work on Angel.

Everyday > I Did It may be the worst 2 song run in the history of music.

Yep. I actually think about that fact often when listening to this concert.

It was my 2nd show and it was great. Great energy and great vibe in Boulder. The live show was great, but never really translated well when I got the CD. But setlist wise, I totally agree that it's underrated. JTR was unreal. Big Eyed Fish and Bartender were the the best (and still) the best versions I've heard of those songs, and the encore at the time was something special.

Someone please elaborate to me why everyone rags on this song.

Ive always heard people say it seemed too commercial, too forced. Maybe that was just the filming though?

Yup, I agree. I've always loved this JTR, great performance of it. Angel and I Did It are really the only two that I don't care for from it.

I don't agree about this version of BEF, though. Dave doesn't really nail it, but I've never been crazy for any live version of this song.

Nice, OP. Looks good prior to the Stefan solo. The Space Between is the only song after that worth it. Seen Two Step more than any other dMb song, and the rest are turds.

Yeah. I love this show and specifically the DVD. A strong DDTW gets it going but the highlight for me is JTR and the epic Bartender. I'm a fan of a lot of Everyday so it's a all good.

And I proudly admit the look in Dave eyes when he turns around when Bartender starts made me just a little tingly inside for the longest time, lmao. 2nd favorite song forever and still today and it's just an epic song/moment.

Not a strong setlist at all.

I listen to this JTR quite a bit, but any show with the I Did It / Angel / Stay trifecta cannot be considered great IMO.

The bolded would be rough. Stay is still not a good closer. I still have the bad taste of it from 2006 in my mouth... way too many shows closed with it back then.

Huge fan of Folsom. I'd have to say it's only behind Central Park and Listener Supported as my favorites. Bartender steals the show for sure, the wailing part might be my favorite part of any song period. That always gets me jacked up.
