Picture of Francona wearing a shirt that says "Well Blow Me" and a picture of two what appear to be Peanuts characters. No context on when the photo was taken but the caption says it was during the interview yesterday.

Story is, Francona had an interview set up with Dan Roach yesterday and he decided to come to the interview with a Popeye t-shirt on that had a picture of Popeye and the text says "Well blow me down!"

He did the entire interview with his arms crossed over the 'down' of the shirt. So it just said "well blow me" it was blatant enough that CBS news in Boston had to blur out the shirt when they aired it on TV.

After all that drama, the Yanks are in the same place the Red Sox were only a week ago - heading home for the winter. And it's always great to see A-Rod making the final out.

What Yanks fans don't seem to get is that they failed, just as the Sox did. They're all saying "At least we made the playoffs." Well yeah, but the goal for both the Yankees and the Red Sox is not to make the playoffs, it's to win it all. Both teams failed. The Yanks just survived an extra week. Big deal.

I don't see many Yankee fans saying this. Not the smart ones anyways. They know the deal. There is no point in making the post season to lose in the first round. This sounds like something 100% of the Rays fan base says every year they make it to the post season.

they're similar and i dont think this team would be losing much by losing theo. ben seems like he's highly capable of taking over and the front office seems confident in either of them getting the job done
