These rankings are useless, by the way.
To the bolded, agreed a bit.

Though, you can not tell me that someone at UMass gets just as good an education as someone at MIT, because that's bullshit.

Agreed, but the tiny schools who are making strides still dont show up on these lists mainly because of legacy of the others. There is curriculum at other schools that can match and be superior to the top 100 here but they have a hard time on getting on the list.

In other words, these lists are all the same, and actually a lot of (amazing) schools opt out of them because A. it costs money to be on it and B. Its about as accurate as the Billboard 100 in terms of what is considered "good".

Where is Hamilton, Colgate, Bowdoin, Bard, St Lawrence, Cooper Union, Carnegie Mellon?? I dont even think I saw NYU on there.

These lists are just ways for people to feel better about paying 65k/year for an education when they could get the same thing for 10k/year

NYU moved up one spot but I think we'd be number 1 for least school spirit. It's almost like everyone just uses NYU to live in the city on their parents dime for 4 years.

#70 for Rutgers University overall. Not bad and we are always getting better! (Northeastern was #39 overall for my former school).

Mostly, I look at the Engineering Rankings. Unfortunately, Rutgers has dropped down to #54 there. We were as high as top 40 a few years ago.

Sweet 16. All that matters, NERDS.

But really, UW-Madison is probably in the 40s or 50s like they always are.

Oh and I just saw that University of Illinois Law is 44. A healthy drop from #23 when I applied. Thanks admissions scandal!
