Re: Mad Men

That was fucking amazing...

I loved seeing how Don got the job.

What's up with him spacing out a hole day (saturday)?

God, Peggy and Pete are so good at what they do. They can play people against themselves so well...

Yeah the flashbacks were great and how it was mirrored to Don and the kid.

EDIT: Don and Stanley laughing about his book was hilarious though.

So, does this show get any better? After watching the Emmy's last night, and seeing this win for the 3rd year in a row, I decided to watch the series. I watched the first 4 episodes so far tonight, and I am not that impressed at all.

The show only gets better. The first half of season 1 is slow but once you hit the end and season 2 it gets MUCH better. And each season is better than the last.

Well, it doesn't have any characters breaking out into dance or cameos by the hot 100...

Alright, I'll keep moving along then. My goal is to get season 1 & 2 done by Tuesday.

    DJ, I told you when you were only two episodes in;

There are no Degrassi, Glee or HSM moments so you won't like it...

I take it you're not watching Rubicon either.

So, what are everyone's thoughts on this....Did Don really get offered the job, but Sterling doesn't remember because he was drunk, or did he con his way into the job (never really was offered the position)? There's some debate on this, and I don't know if there is an actual answer or not.

Sorry it features 50-60s music and not Nickelback. Also its pretty easily the best show on TV for those that like substance to their television, so its not surprising you hate it. Your tiny, terrible-opinion-forming brain can only handle so much. I won't hold it against you.

The way I interpreted it, Sterling got shitfaced, doesnt remember anything, and Don took advantage of the situation based on his smirk as the elevator closed.

"Garçon! Je m'appelle Roger. Je suis un taxi."

(It's funnier when you translate it... "Sir! My name is Roger. I am a taxi.")

I thought I was the only one sticking with this!!! Thanks for the company Beefy It's still pretty slow going, but I do like it. Haven't gotten into the three junior API members on Will's team yet. Next week's looks great though!

At first I thought Roger got drunk & offered him the job, but now I definitely see it the other way.

I'm really enjoying Rubicon, but the pacing is definitely slow. The General would not approve.
