I think puppet makes more sense

I like "puppy". Especially with other lyrics like 'tail between my legs' in the song. It connotes unconditional love/loyalty, in a blind stupid pathetic way tha a puppy responds to admonishment from its master. To me, a 'puppet' for your love doesn't work very well at all. I'm not even sure I understand what that would really mean - that someone else is forcing your actions, and that you, the puppet are not only powerless, but also dont have the capacity to care, or feel, or think,etc.?

Most of the time its impossible to tell what Dave is really saying without looking it up

Maybe I'm just a ra-tard, but I think my incorrect lyrics make the songs more fun to sing (at least when I'm alone)

I also used to think he was saying "testicle" in Warehouse for the longest time... I was actually kinda bummed when I found out what he was really saying.

In general, I avoid looking up the lyrics of songs. This means I can't understand significant parts of UTTAD and Crash, but it's always kind of fun to guess what Dave's saying.

I can understand the mix up too. The studio version sounds like that and in live versions, Dave says, "smoke my kind."

there is no "correct" spelling. it's kine and kind. doesnt matter they both mean the same thing.
