Incredible! That's really great to hear! I figured they'd take those months off and relax but I'd love for them to tour some more here. Especially in support of their new album.

Yeah hopeful it comes to fruition but they've been doing a lot of work lately and they're like old lol

Audio/video show starts at 8:45-8:50, the band is usually started by 9.

Not sure who your openers are tonight, but Volbeat has been fucking awesome

enjoy! if you watch their twitter today, they seem to have been posting a picture of the actual schedule for the night, broken down by the time slots.

Excellent!! They sounded great... I wish I would've caught them on the opposite setlist rotation (they seem to swap out Fuel and Wherever I May Roam every other night) but still awesome anyway. Crowd was relatively tame which was nice... there was a kid (maybe 8-10 years old) a couple rows in front of us absolutely tearing it up all night... air drums, air guitar, headbanging, etc. I hope your son has that much fun!!

at metlife, there were so many little kids with their respective dads or parents. the kids were rocking out, dancing around, having a blast. all were wearing protective ear-gear, too, so props to those parents. it was a really cool environment. Pretty sure James Murphy walked right by us (LCD Soundsystem).

one parent actually moved himself back further away from the stage so his daughter had more room to dance crazily. she danced for seriously 35 minutes straight. was just such a cool environment. so many nice people. so different from other shows I've been to. everyone seemed to get "it," like they were appreciative of everything going on around them. just can't place my finger on it

Multiply the decibels at that show by 10 and you have Motley Crue.

Is that Tommy Lee? I saw them at a Festival in New Jersey probably 7-8 years ago...I don't really remember much they headlined and it was long day of drinking in the sun

Tommy Lee is in Motley Crue, yes... if you saw them, I think you'd remember b/c your ears would still be ringing from that. Although... maybe for a festival they had a slightly smaller setup. I saw them at the small arena in Manchester, NH and I swear they were set up like they were playing central park. Just an absolute wall of noise.

Yeah it was the Bamboozle Festival. Which is geared towards like punk rock/emo bands haha. But they headlined one of the nights...we stood way in the back to get a quick exit. Wouldn't mind seeing them again though.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who thought Motley was the loudest show. I remember during a guitar solo having to go to the bathroom because I thought I was going to be sick because it was so loud. My ears rang for days after that show. Whenever I hear something high-pitched (like a guitar solo) I still squirm a little bit because of the damage from that show.

Ever since seeing Crue I always pack ear plugs. Doesn't hurt that my wife is an audiologist either.

Well, unfortunately, you won't be seeing them again... they retired forever (apparently) a little over a year ago.

Ain't no way they're staying retired. The press conference of them signing the contract was ridiculous. I can totally see them in 5 years having a video of them tearing up the contract and announcing 338 dates.

Wouldn't shock me... I mean, they weren't even supposed to play Crue songs in any form (solo or otherwise) ever again. Nikki Sixx has guested on songs with other bands, I think Tommy Lee has too... and Vince is doing a solo tour playing mostly Crue songs.

Pretty stoked to take my 8-year old son to his first concert tomorrow. He's pumped. Knows all the new songs though he thinks And Justice for All is the greatest album ever "because the run of One, Shortest Straw, and Harvester of Sorrow simply cannot be beat". Hope they play Harvester for him, that's his fav

Just thinking ahead here. Who thinks Lady Gaga will join Metallica at Outside Lands on Aug 12th? She's in Vegas on Aug 11th and San Francisco on Aug 13th (AT&T Park)?

I would totally buy that LiveMet show.

The mixes on the live shows this year are stellar. Wasn't at Philly, but I gotta give that the show with best performances. Best set goes to the Long Island show. Through the first leg at least

Are the show son LiveMet the same as pre-ordering the show form the email Metallica sent? I would assume so but I haven't purchased from LiveMet in 8 years.

I'm doubtful. I don't think they thought very highly of that performance at the Grammy's. Wasn't her fault but I think they just didn't feel it.
