I love whiskey. Here are my favorites:

Everyday bourbon: Makers or Four Roses
Special Occasion bourbon: Rock Hill Farms
    Irish whiskey: Knappogue Castle
Scotch: McCallan Fine Oak Series (15yr)

Nah, it really just tastes bad.

Edit: I find it hilarious that we all only use the phrase "It's an acquired taste" when speaking about things that the general public regard as disgusting.

nah, some of it is actually pretty good.

EDIT: to your edit, because a lot of things are. I don't like coffee at all, but I'm sure if I drank it everyday instead of like once a year I would like it a bit more. I didn't like beer at first or wine, but I 'learned' how to like them. If you really don't like anything you didn't like at first, you must be one unadventurous person.

Always and only Jack. Gentlemen's Jack for special occasions, and Single Barrel to celebrate.

I became a Jack guy because I used to get made fun of by my brother because I don't drink beer. No one makes fun of a guy for drinking Jack.

    man I love whiskey/scotch/bourbon

Maker's, Jack, Glenlivet, Knob, it's all good stuff. Nothing better than a glass of Woodford on the rocks and a Davidoff cigar.

Had some Jack last night... It's just such a wonderful drunk. Also, I love how it makes your voice rough. Definately worth the 24 bucks I spent on that bottle... Sometimes you just need to treat yourself

Couldn't agree more. You should try Buffalo Trace if you haven't already. It is made about half a mile from the house i grew up in. Along with almost all the really good bourbons.

^I've had Buffalo Trace it was pretty good, about the same price as Jack I think.. and it's 90 proof

For cheapness nothing beats Jim Beam imo

On the expensive side, JW black or Glenmorangie or some other scotch. anything more than ~55 and I can't afford it

I'm brewing up a porter and adding whiskey during secondary fermentation, it's going to be orgasmic. The recipe I'm following recommends Makers.

Sounds delicious. I might have to toss in some vanilla beans as well.

Jack all the way. That's my overall drink of choice. Also love Makers. When I'm being a really cheap college student I'll get Early Times, $19 for a handle.

Is Makers like the Budweiser of whiskeys (tastes like crap, but is the most popular)? I'd like to pick up a decent bottle, but have no idea what is good and what isn't.

Rum is too sweet for me. And not just spiced. I couldn't drink Vodka for the longest time after one binge...I couldn't even handle the smell of Sharpie markers for months after

    Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch has never wronged me
