I read on their site that the next batch of dates opens February 18. That should cover the Labor Day weekend because their schedule extends to August 4 now.

for as much as I wish I could experience southwest, I love my little airport with delta...well worth the extra $30 from a small airport and being able to show up 20 minutes before take off and walk right on.

Anyone camped at both Wildhorse and Premier? We did Wildhorse last time and are going for Premier this year...just curious for some comparisons and pros/cons of each. Had a blast at Wildhorse in 2014.

Have the same question, if you do have some time later it would be helpful to get your take. Have been reading the great FAQ documents; seems maybe Wildhorse is a bit quieter and it's a bit further away but still not too bad (30 min walk?)?

Also seems that Wildhorse reservations aren't open yet, so could be a good backup if don't get premier?

I'm a long term Wildhorse camper and camped premiere last year. The majority of the folks here camp premiere and really enjoy their experience. I am going back to Wildhorse this mostly due my people, but there are differences in the campgrounds.

    Premiere
    Pros:
Closer to the venue, easy walk
Much larger group of fans to interact with
Depending on placement can be more of a party
Access to D9 aka general camping where you can often find a much more party like atmosphere
Easyish for a large group to camp together if that is your situation
    Free showers
    Food available at the pivot
Easy to find space for an RV if you are renting/bringing your own.

    Cons:
You have to deal with Livenation Staff aka yellow shirts
    The showers weren't the cleanest.
    Much larger group of fans
Can be windier since you're closer to the Gorge

    Wildhorse
    Pros:
Privately owned by an awesome couple and ran by a staff that loves what they are doing.
Many returning guests so it is a more homey, familial environment
The lush lush lush Wildhorse grass
The Coral Cafe that cooks up delicious food
    Cleanest honey buckets ever
    Open air showers
    Smaller
Larger open green space for yard games and a stage where campers perform

    Cons:
Quiet time is absolutely enforced so if you are wanting to have a party post show it will be shut down. You don't have to go to bed, but you do have to be quiet.
Further from the venue, but they do provide a shuttle to and from for the shows
Smaller so it's more difficult to reserve a spot
More of a challenge to camp together if you have a large group
Limited amount of RV spots if you are bringing/renting an RV

It's really a matter of personal preference. Overall as a facility Wildhorse is nicer, but it depends on if that matters to you or not. Premiere is a great location and you will have tons of interaction with other fans.

Wildhorse will sell out tomorrow. I won't tell you that one is better than another because they are totally different animals.

If I try to request the hotel package thru the warehouse? from past experience how hard is it to get? And how far is that hotel from venue? Any other close hotels? Just to see all options of I didn't want to camp.

Thanks so much - this should really be added to the FAQ. Super helpful. Two last questions if you don't mind - you mention that Wildhorse will sell out tomorrow; do you know that the spots go on sale tomorrow? I didn't see anything on their site about DMB weekend. Second, I assume it's pretty easy for Gorge newbs to integrate into the Wildhorse crew? I'm sure everyone is friendly but seems like a tight-knit group of regulars who all know each other so wanted to get your take on that.

    Thanks!

The D9 showers last year were too nice. A couple of the trailers only had 4 or so showers, and each shower had a changing space too. Was really nice, but everyday the showers had the longest lines. I personally think the shower is the best $3 you can spend that weekend, but bailed at the sight of the lines. They need to get back the old ones with 10 or so showers per trailer.

Never requested a hotel so can't give you feedback. Not even sure which hotel it is. I'd suggest a little Google-fu as to the locations. I believe the FAQ has hotel options listed? I can't remember....

Wildhorse goes on sale tomorrow at 7 AM.

Absolutely friendly people. Steph, luvsmesomedmb in here, was jumped in to my group in less than half an hour a few years ago. Same year we adopted a solo traveler and by Sunday he still had a cooler full of food cuz we fed him all weekend. The best part about gorge is that you are with thousands of fans, most of whom have spent a good amount of money to attend, so everyone is looking to have the best experience ever. Always going to be bad apples and people that keep to themselves, but that's life. I know for myself what brings me back to the Gorge every year are the people that I have met. I met my sister from another mister back in '06 and we'll be together again this year. I have some friends that this is the one time in the year that I get to see them, but within five minutes it is as if we had just seen each other the day before.

My one absolute is you must do N0 aka night zero or Thursday night. It is a great way to meet people. Plus you're already set up and ready for show time on Friday and can concentrate on your pre-game.

In the past it's been the Best Western, but not sure about this year. And yes hotel info in the FAQ. Mason is also doing his charter bus again this year and they stayed in Ephrata.

I love it. I also love that if I want to check it I can slide the straps in to the bag so they won't get torn or ripped off.

Jenn summed it up pretty well. It's all about what you're looking for at the end of the day. The thing I love about premier, is that we have a large home base/common area, and then inevitably know other people camped in the grounds, plus all the others you've yet to meet. Wandering around premier is a blast, and it's just overall a more upbeat atmosphere, if that makes sense. Wildhorse is fun, but much more subdued, and you're more limited to just wildhorse itself, and dependent on the shuttles (which are a blast), but still get a little old by N3. It's all personal choice. I'd recommend premier for your first gorge, then maybe try wildhorse your second. Either choice is a good one though. cheers!

Not sure if this has been posted yet. If so, sorry!

    http://www.rollingstone.com/music/ne...-tour-20160125

"Before the band goes on break, they'll host a Labor Day weekend-long 25th anniversary bonanza at George, Washington's the Gorge, a venue DMB has performed at over 50 times. Other as-yet-unannounced artists will join Dave Matthews Band at their Gorge send-off."

"Before the band goes on break, they'll host a Labor Day weekend-long 25th anniversary bonanza at George, Washington's the Gorge, a venue DMB has performed at over 50 times. Other as-yet-unannounced artists will join Dave Matthews Band at their Gorge send-off."

    Re: ***Official Gorge 2016***

Well , like many others it's time to knock this one off the bucket list. Been going to shows since I was a freshman in middle school in '02. Have been going to most the kc shows when they came through and in recent years done STL a couple times and chicago last year. Finances and vacation time from work have made the big dave trips nearly impossible... brought up the idea of Gorge a couple months back with a some friends I know and after the announcement sounds like I'll have to make this work.

I'm usually the one that will buy a group of tickets together during presale though no way I'd be able to afford 3 or 4 tickets together for the whole weekend up front . Thinking I'll have to get the others to decide asap and be ready to help me get some tickets that morning they go on sale. Do tickets normally sell out quite quickly for this? Realize they'll probably go quicker this year bc of the hiatus. Even if they back out I think I'd still make the trip solo. Sure I could find some people to hang out with over the weekend ! Time to start checking flights each week..

Thanks for the Wildhorse vs Premier responses. We are gonna give Premier a go this year so I'm excited to experience that and take a gander over to D9. I will miss those Wildburgers and garlic fries though!

So just to clarify, if |I request pits and get denied I may end up with seats even though I don't want them?

    That is correct.

You can opt out of lawn but not seats

I have gotten seats for two nights the last two years. Uppers. I have sold them on the boards and picked up pits during the onsale
