My CD uploaded and all, but unfortunatly skips on some songs and makes scratchy noises. Has anyone successfully contacted MusicToday?

Hey there. The CD side doesn't work in my drive, it just makes a whole heap of weird noises. It's a Packard Bell tower and according to device manager the drive is a "HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4320B". Hope that helps. Seriously, I do or else I may not be able to transfer it to my iPod. If all else fails, I'll probably just end up downloading the CD of Soulseek. Anyways, catch ya.

in home dvd/cd player (Denon not that old), cd side wont play, dvd side will play.
on comp cd side plays, dvd side wont. If try to open with real player, says disc is region 3 (I'm in region 4), although Denon player should only play region 4 or all.
in Sony discman cd side plays but disc turning is very noisy.
(pre-ordered but cd released out here before it arrived so I couldn't hold out, so "bought one (just a normal cd) for the car") which plays well all three players & has been played a lot.

Mine wouldn't play on my dell dimension 4800 with high specs but then after some restarting and many tries i finally got it. I definitely thought this was an isolated problem. Too bad this has been happening,,,

Just a question (sorry if it has already been brought up)

Has anyone had any problems like this with other dual discs?

I'm not a big fan of the dual discs so if there was a problem with them that would actually be good news for me so i was wondering if anyone had heard of any other dd's with these type of problems.

I didn't have a problem with it so far. DVD player and computer worked just fine.

Actually, there was one problem. How should I guess that to play the cd side I needed to put the side that says 'cd' up? Just found out when I wanted to see the dvd in my player, and it said cd. It's all upside down.

No problems with dual disc however the WH bonus disc when put in my computer reads the track lists of those of the Stand Up disc...which is weird...

Mine worked perfectly on everything(car, pc I built, and 3 diff. dvd players). There is no copy protect on either side as I have been able to back up my copy. Chances are some people need their dvd players(P.C. or home unit) firmware updated. Also, check your services if using Microblows OS's.

Dualdisc has no copyprotection, the cd does.

[size=3]i'm positive that the only words to explain my anger at the dualdisc are: PISSED OFF

i listened to it a total of three times before both sides were scratched up and skipping. ...so i went out and bought a REGULAR cd. NORMAL. the whole idea of the dual discs can be thrown out.

If you had copied the CD side and burned it onto another CD-R, then only used the DVD side of the DualDisc, your DVD side should still be spotless and scratch-free.
Not that DMB made use of the format at all. When I look at the read out on my Pioneer DV-45A it tells me that Stand Up is linear 48Hz 16-bit.
So "Enhanced Stereo" in this case seems to mean 48/16 instead of 44.1/16 which in my opinion makes fuck all difference.
Take REM's Out Of Time for instance that when you select the stereo track is 192/24 - now that's taking advantage of the DVD-Audio format. The people behind the decision to release a DVD-Audio copy of Stand Up obviously have their heads up their asses as it's not the first title on DVD-A/DD that I've spotted with this "Enhanced Stereo" bullshit.

Dual Disc definitely did not work for me, it was extremely sensitive (scratched very easily) and worked in only one cd player I have, not a great idea for the future. I'd rather have a separate dvd and cd I suppose.

I can't get SU to run on the CD side in my PC, but it's not isolated. Franz Ferdinand's "You Could Have It So Much Better" won't read either.

My dual disc has never played in my car stereo. It would either spit the disc out or would not eject the disc. I had to burn a copy and then use the burnt copy to listen in the car.

Not so happy with Stand UP

Howzit guys. I'm from South Africa and a huge Dave fan.

I have to say though, that I am not altogether happy with Stand up. It just does not have that "Dave" feel to it.

    Am I wrong??
