We need a new "Live Release"

Anyone else agree? I believe the last live release we got was Atlantic City. LT's are great and all but I think a release of a show at some huge venue or a stadium show needs to be released.

What would you like to see released as a "Live Release"?

I'm not sure if there's a need for live releases anymore...we have LT & DMBLive...they could put out an Exit... Stage Left type of album and I'd buy it though

The only thing it would change is it be available on iTunes, Amazon, etc.

Those things would hurt Musictoday being able to collect on shipping fees. I don't foresee it happening.

iTunes, etc. has Live Trax 1-20 but I see your point.

If it doesn't cut down on the frequency we're getting LTs and DMBLives at, I'm all for it! Due to CDs starting to become less relevant (and we're starting to see downloads suffer too), it will have to be a pre-planned venue release. Like Live At Madison Square Garden '18 or something like that.

Live At Sweet Briar was available from the college's bookstore, same price with a cheaper shipping fee AND they got it out the same day I placed the order. Man, why can't Musictoday do that.

There have been some great Dave and Tim shows, I’d be down for that.

I don't know if the market calles for a new live release in stores anymore. DMB isnot as popular anymore and I feel like people don't buy that type of thing in stores anymore these days.

If they did it I would love to see a show from the summer 2000 stadium run including a DVD. I know they filmed this shows and probably filmed some of those for a potential release one day.

But if that was a live trax i would be just as happy. It doesn't really matter for me if either way

Re: We need a new "Live Release"

i can see them doing a live release next fall from the summer 2018 tour as a "we're back" kind of release. im sure there will be a lot (more than usual) of publicity for DMB's return next year as its the first time they're ever coming back from not touring. there will be a bit more buzz than normal that could lead to wanting to release something thats more publicly available.

if the mexico rumors are true, maybe we'll get something from that.
