I'm going only for friday... I'm really stoked. I really wanted to know if anyone knows if you can sneak in vodka in water bottles, or do they check the factory seal on the bottles?

Day 1 - What Made Milwaukee Famous, Vampire Weekend, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Gogol Bordello, parts of Mates of State and Hot Chip, David Byrne, Mars Volta
Day 2 - Old 97's, DBT, Man Man, MGMT, Mason Jennings, YMSB, Robert Plant, Beck

We do it every year. Just pack it at the bottom of the cooler. They have way too many people going through to check every bottle.

Not too many bands I am dying to see but hopefully that might be a good thing in terms of some new music to my ears. So far my schedule looks like this:

Anyone going this year? Is it cool to get tickets off stubhub? the site says soldout but stubhub says they have about 200 for friday

The lineup this year is ridiculously good.

What do you mean by is it cool to get tickets off of StubHub? StubHub's a legit site. You might end up paying more than face price, but in terms of legitimacy it's top notch.

Terrible lineup. I didn't think they could make it worse than last year's, but wow, they did.

Really disappointing, as I wanted to go this year. I might go see Stevie Wonder if my job has a booth there again this year and I can get in free.

Alright, i had no clue, i finally have the means and time to go to some concerts, never been to one before (concert that is) so i'm pretty naive to procedure and crap but thanks! and yeah the lineup is great, i planned to go to the gorge this year but my mom couldn't get work off so we have no way to get there, me and my sister are going to take a bus up and have to settle for Kanye, Coldplay, Arcade Fire, Morning Jacket, Fleet Foxes, Stevie Wonder, Cut Copy, TV on the Radio and Iron & Wine instead

Keep an eye on Craigslist for tickets.

People have to buy the passes before the lineup is announced, so once that happens, the people that don't like it (like me) dump their tickets.

I came in to say i forgot the Antlers, but damn really? i don't know much about the others so i can't really say but i am excited none the least

Stevie Wonder and Ray Lamontagne are the only two acts that would make me even remotely consider braving ACL.

I like a few of the indie bands, but I'd rather catch an indie band at a club show than a festival, and most of the ones I like I have already seen at a club show in Austin this year, or will eventually.

You can easily find a 3-day pass on Craigslist for under $250 if you check often.

Yea. It's 100% GA so all spots are first come first serve.

The big acts are typically later in the day/evening. The top 3 headliners will each be the last act one of the nights.

If I had to guess, I'd say Arcade Fire will close Friday, Kanye and Coldplay will close Saturday on opposite stages, and Stevie Wonder will close down the whole festival on Sunday.

Ah, okay. Knew Kanye and Coldplay would dual, but assumed Stevie was the #1 headliner as he was first on the list. Odd that Arcade Fire is gonna close it all down.

Yea, there are 7ish stages. 2 huge ones and several smaller ones.

Austin's the shit, San Antonio music life is kinda blah, some blues and jazz with alot of Dj's and dubstep,

Yea, y'all can draw some big names to SBC, but the club/bar scene just isn't there the way it is in Austin.

Oh no way? i was born in Rhode Island but i moved here when i was 4 1/2, i live in stone oak and went to Reagan in NEISD with churchill madinson and lee and them, it was built in 97 i believe, i don't when you graduated, i got out of Reagan though my Junior year to graduated early to start at the Audio enginearing institute here

When DMB played, people on here lined up a couple hours before gates, then sprinted to the rail when the gates opened. Then sat there, in the same spot, for the entire day.

I don't understand why people would go to a festival just to hear one band. Or the few who play on that main stage.

Creepy. I just don't understand this behavior. There is so much amazing music to be seen at a festival like ACL. Hell, time would be better spent on 6th street than standing around waiting for one band.
