I gotta believe the band involvement in this is pretty heavy. As earlier posters have mentioned, the guitar portion is fairly clean and simple.

For guitar folks, I believe it's just a syncopated picking progression of these chords...

So nothing incredibly difficult by Dave's standards. The beat is mildly complex but it's a very simple (and beautiful) guitar part that will benefit greatly from some layered instrumentals.

Listened to this a few times now throughout the day, liked it the first time, and it is growing on me more and more each time. Dig this version and cannot wait to hear it on the album

The song reminds me of Oh, hopefully the band will give it some more flavor, kind of disappointed, am hoping for some monster songs with Lillywhite producing, remains to be seen and heard what we are going to hear as far as the new tunes, hoping they return to form with some jamming songs with everyone involved

The thing about this song shows the beauty of the band and Lillywhite working together. You can just HEAR the parts that are supposed to explode with incredible layers.

I cannot wait to hear the studio version, and how the band kicks in right after Dave says, "Come on back, imagine that we could get it together" - I invision a long musical break after the first intro going right into the next verse.

This song is great, and will only get better.

cant say im digging it at the moment but it definitely is growing on me. it was probably the fact that i stayed up that late to catch it and was falling asleep up until the performance. after reviewing the recording on dvr ill say its alright in my book and ive said before that im anxiously awaiting the arrival of the band version.

ya lillywhite has tweeted that on the album this song is much longer and definately not a quiet lil acoustic song. im hoping for something mixed and crossed between Pig and Cry Freedom

I really think this song could be a big song on the album, the little instrumental section seemed like it would be a place for the band to flourish and the same goes for the end of the song. There's alot of room in there for expanding on the tune.

Must admit first listen I wasn't jumping out of my chair but could easily see where the band could lift it in places, lyrically I was fairly happy except for the you and me and you and you bit, that just comes across as a bit lazy really.
Hoping that this isn't the first single but definitely okay if this ends up somewhere middle in the pack - if this turns out to be the worst song on the album then we are in for a cracker IMO

DMB has had a click problem for a long time. Dave and Carter always sit together at lunch, Stefan has to sit next to stupid Jeff and Boyd. Rashawn doesn't eat much these days....
