    definitely
i paid that much (including service rape, er-ah charge) for DSO, and that was worth it.

^^ yeah thats Spring of '77 tour is arguably the best tour ever. Those shows where just amazing.

i juts got the entire Winterland '73 recordings and that shit is awesome as well.

So Many Roads might be the best compilation or any band ever. It is fantastic, i love the Cassidy from Giants stadium in '90 off of that.

I have a question. What would you (anyone) recommend for a live album? I don't have any life dead stuff yet, I usually just listen to the Gratefull Dead channel on Sirius.

Listen to their drug-induced performance from Woodstock - Jerry says, in a really trippy voice, with some creepy effects, "You want it...louder?"
    It's great.

in Phil lesh's book he talks quite a bit about the acid tests. Very cool shit.

I dont know what is better than Europe '72, my personal favorite dead era. (Steppin' Out England, Europe '72, Hundred Year Hall, Rockin the Rhein). '81 was pretty good too. (Go To Nassau, etc.)

    Well that was certainly awesome.

I went to the Oregon Country Fair the past 3 days. I went over to the main stage, and there was this kind of jam/psych band playing, and they were playing Dead songs. And there's this dude in the back on drums making weird faces, but I can't really make out who it is. I get a little closer... fucking Kreutzmann, just sitting in. Pretty great.
