It's too bad we didn't cover them in my History of Rock and Roll class (didn't cover DMB either). Then again, my teacher was a 29 year old South Korean guy, so his usual subjects were world superstars (aka Madonna, Michael Jackson).

I'm pissed that I never got to see them live.. was suppose to do there May 95 Vegas run but that got vetoed last minute.

that would be history of Pop music.

where the stuff about Robert Johnson and the other blues stars from the 20's-50's that basically formed the foundation for modern rock and roll and well most music

We did cover some of that. However, since the topics are based on teacher choice, I had to listen to a lot of crap. But he did expose me to Peter Gabriel and some older stuff (Vanilla Fudge, etc).

My professor last year said I can't be a war historian, but I'm 97% sure he said that because I'm a chick, so I'm gonna do it anyway

In reality, I'll probably teach a bunch of high schoolers their least favorite subject. Which is still cool in my book.
