wasn't sure where to ask this, but figured this may be a good one. do any of you all know anything about AT&T U-Verse? TWC is crazy expensive and I didn't knwo if U Verse would be a better deal.

holy crap has Modern Family seemed to fall hard off its pedestal. Each of the episodes so far this season, everything feels so staged and overwritten. but you know there's no way in hell it's not getting at least one more year.

I thought the same thing and actually came here just to post that haha! It's pretty rough this season, especially last week's episode. Major weak sauce. Phil is the only one that is actually funny anymore. I'll keep watching because the characters are incredibly lovable but it's long lost the funny that brought everyone in.

plus I'm so tired of how over the top they make Cam, like I honestly wonder a little bit if the actor who plays Mitchell is starting to get offended at all. I think it was in the season premiere, c'mon that Cam was seriously going to be THAT oblivious to how inappropriate it would be for him to continually show up at Mitchell's office acting the way he was? That was just absurd.

and it feels like now that Manny is reaching the other side of puberty, they've fully passed the "unnaturally witty and world weary for how young they still are" mantle to Lily. The complexity of some of the remarks they have her spitting out, for the love of pete.

I still have at least one good laugh during the new MF episodes, not like I used to but I still enjoy watching it

my mom got pretty heavily into it via syndication over the last several months, then got kinda freaked out when she saw how much Luke had changed in the newer ones I mean Manny's just pretty much become a bigger version of himself, with a deeper voice, otherwise he looks exactly the same.

I have U Verse and love the service, never any problems like I had with Comcast. No cable is cheap, guess it depends what kinda package you are looking for. They do give new customers a great deal for the first year of service. I think I paid about $110/month for an HD DVR, basically every channel (HBO, showtime, etc.), and internet.

I'd go on the AT&T site and look at what options they have and then make a decision. Hope that helps, any other questions, feel free to ask.

Agreed. The new kid isn't as good as the baby. The baby just sat there motionless without any expression. That's what made her scenes so funny.

However, all the jokes are played out. They're sticking with the same gag per character and just beating it to death or playing it up so much that it's forced.

Lily's one liners were gold for a long time. She's talking a bit too much now though.

Nice thanks! I'm gonna see if I can do a trial thing with them I think. I know TWC allows you to cancel within 30 days if you don't like it hopefully they will do the same thing.

Last night's ep was the best of the season so far. That's not saying that much.

I am just hoping that they don't dive in too much with the white trash neighbors. That relationship does not make for good TV.

okay just watched the newest Modern Family. I hear you guys on Haley's outfit... damn. But having Luke so quickly grab her when Claire says "pick up the hoe"... what the hell?? That was bizarre even for this show

other than that, I mean wow, the Steve Zahn people, they literally might as well have been cartoon characters for a live action/animation hybrid episode.

This show used to have at least even a hint of subtlety in its comedy writing. probably the best joke of the entire thing of Claire trying to work around just directly describing her old friend as "black" for Phil to realize who she meant.

Yeah Modern Family has been stale and it used to be hilarious. I haven't watched last night's episode yet.
Blackish has been funny so we've added that to the regular rotation. Any other good comedies besides those two, New Girl and Brooklyn 99 ya'll are watching?
