Good Headphones

I'm looking to get headphones for working out and want to get a good pair that will last longer than 3 months. I would like for them to clip on or wrap around my ear. They have to be waterproof cuz I sweat a ton and they don't have to have the greatest sound quality ever but obviously I want it to be good for the money. All the reviews I read for headphones around $30 say they give out after a couple months. I'm looking to spend somewhere around $60 and more if need. Any suggestions?

Invest in a good $200 pair of Bose noise cancellers and then never worry again and thank me later. It'll be worth the money if you really want some good quality.

This. I own a pair, but I'm looking to upgrade to the $400 Studio Beats by Dre

I enjoy Bose. Until these aren't useful to me anymore I'm keeping them. I don't want to drop extra money on headphones just because they've got Dr. Dre's name on them.

The Studio ones are really phenomenal. I may look at some headphones on musiciansfriend.com. Not sure yet.

I hate how overwhelming the bass is on Beats. Stick with Bose.

    ^^ fell for the trap.

You can get so much better headphones for $200 or $400 than these two.

No I really enjoy my Bose headphones. I'm sure there are some that may be better but Bose does what I want it to do. It cancels all noise that I need it to, looks somewhat stylish, and has great sound quality. I've tried out some other brands but they just don't sound as good to me. Plus the Bose headphones are by far the most comfortable headphones I've owned.

This is probably the most key with Bose.

To me, most headphones in the $200 price range sound relatively the same. Out of the ones I tried I couldn't tell a huge difference in the sound and the noise cancellation works the same. So why not at that point give the nod to style and comfort?

I realize that you weren't disagreeing with me but I'm just saying.

Those are the best, I've found, in terms of using them as workout earbuds. They stay in your ears, no matter how much you sweat and I've had my pair for about a year now.

I swear it doesn't matter what type of earphones I get, they always fall out if I'm working out. Or even walking. I don't know if my ear canal is messed up or something but I just can't keep in-ear headphones to stay. I've got to have over ear. I may give these a shot though for when I'm going on run. They seem like they might sit in there better.

Well the only thing there is that you can probably find music studio monitor headphones around $200 that are definitely better than Bose, but they'll be a lot bulkier.

Well yeah. But that's why I've got studio headphones that are different. Bose are my everyday use headphones.

I think we're missing the original purpose of the thread. I wanted headphones for working out. I'm sure the bose headphones for $200 are amazing but i really only need headphones for working out which is about 4 hours a week. I'm not dropping $200 on that.

Same with me. I'm sick of having to always play with them and try to get them in my ear while i'm running.

Yeah, maybe I have smaller ears? I know that the iPod buds are awful and total crap; those don't even stay in my ears when I stand still, nevermind when I work out. The Sony ones come with three different sized silicone fitters, so you could use the really big ones to make it tight in your ear canal.

Oh no worries. I didn't know if people didn't read the original post. Sometime people just read the title and go off of that.

Are the Bose in-ear headphones decent enough to get by for a year or so? I'm gonna ask my parents for them for Christmas but i don't want them to shell out $200-$300. After I graduate and once I get a job, I'll look into a nicer set to purchase for myself.
These are the ones I'm looking at:

These are the ones I'm looking at:

I wonder how well they stay in your ear. I'm worried that if they don't actually wrap around my ear that they will fall out

Have not read all of the posts so I do not know if these were mentioned already but I have a pair of Klipsh S4 in-ear headphones and they are by far the best headphones I have ever owned (and they are cheap about $60). I had the Bose in-ear headphones and these are by far better quality.
