Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015)

^^^ yea and I really don't think that was any sort of accident, either

What I particularly loved about the star destroyer, because of the composition of the shot and the color of the sand and everything, there were just a couple seconds where I guarantee everyone in the audience at first thought that was just another mound of sand further in the background. cool as shit reveal.

I don't know if it's been clarified here yet, but the voice in the trailer is indeed Luke.

Yeah saw it was moved but didn't see where. Not sure where it would be moved to. Thought maybe it meant it was merged here but...nope.

Gonna ask in here since it's current. Any news on the release of the "original" trilogy?

Griffin is wearing his Star Wars shirt today. My wife says that I'm "nerding him up." Ya damn right.

The cool kids wear star wars. My wife doesn't do sports at all but would watch the original trilogy every week if we had the time.

Kyle, my 6 year old, wore brown wookie shirt yesterday and has his star wars legos on today. My 9 year old, Luke (yes, influenced by Star Wars), is rolling with the Empire poster t shirt.

The other day I wore my shirt that has a Vader mask on it and says, "Who's your Daddy?" beneath it. I was informed by my wife that is not shirt I should be wearing out, but rather an "around the house" shirt. I vehemently disagreed.

Not like it's one of those "I fuck on the first date" shirts or I'm with stupid shirts. Come on.

Now that the warm weather is here, time for the grey t shirt with a smallish Vader in the pose from late in Empire with words beneath it reading, "Luke...I am your father". Now that Luke is almost 10, I am thinking soon he may not like me wearing that shirt with him in public around town.

I think last time we went to Disney, we rode Star Tours at Hollywood studios 8 times that day in some combination. My then 4 year old only went on it twice. I think Luke went on it 8 times and my wife 6 as I stayed with Kyle. Now that the fast passes have changed, it will be tough doing that again.

Partly. We had his name picked out before conception. We both made lists of our top boys names and Luke was at or near the top on both of our lists when we went thru them. Wife and I really liked that name. We were both huge Star Wars fans and both big General Hospital junkies, where our favorite character was also a Luke (Spencer). (I gave up GH 10 years ago..wife still watches it). Ironically, we couldn't settle on a name for our second son and he was named the morning leaving the hospital as the nurse said first thing that we couldn't leave without a name. He was baby no-name for 2 days. Honestly, we cannot rule out that if Kyle had been a girl, he would have been named Leia, though.

Lando. Should have named him Lando. Or Wedge Antilles.

I still watch that set that was released at Wal-Mart a few years back that contains the original 3 films before Lucas did his special effects junk on them. I think you can still find that set on Amazon.

As far as the latter 3 (recently released), I don't think it really matters which one you watch.
