Re: What was the last movie you watched?
to be fair, when's the last time you guys actually had a rewatch of the 90's version of The Stand? I'm not saying everybody, but I can't help but feeling like some who haven't looked at it in a long time are doing so with some rose colored glasses on. I watched the whole thing when I noticed it was on netflix a little less than 2 years ago, and actually it's the perfect sort of thing for a remake, because obviously the book is a modern classic but there is a LOT of room for improvement in an adaptation. It looks extremely dated, and there is no shortage of highly cornball both writing and acting. However, now seeing that they're perfectly willing to devote much more than just one 3 hour(ish) feature film to it, I say go ahead and HBO it, a hard R, single run 10 episode series. Just like Game Of Thrones, have each episode be just about an hour long. You can even just cut it to 8 episodes if you'd think that may be too much (never read the book, so...)
