Only time will tell how this will all play out. I just don't think it's going to have the great impact on the UK that Brits are hoping for.

Huge deal that the vote went this way. Will have a large impact across the world. Also, it could mark the beginning of the E.U. crumbling. I will also be very interested if Scotland pushed for another vote for independence. They clearly want to remain in the E.U.

Trump is in the UK voicing his opinion...

Trump, "People want to take their country back. They want to be able to have a country again. The same thing is happening in America."

I know it was close going in, but I never thought it would actually finish in Brexit.

    Let the market panic begin.

David Cameron gone, who is the presumptive replacement? I assume Hugh Grant.

from some of the stuff I've read this morning theirs a fair amount of people who voted leave that already regret it. One guy on BBC said he did it as a protest vote not thinking there was any chance it pass.

    solid reference.

Looks like a lot of people are saying Boris Johnson will be the new Prime Minister. Though, listening to the BBC, there is a large group of people who want anyone BUT him.

You know how we have Hillary V Trump? Cameron or Johnson might actually be worse. Oh well, things had to get shit for them to get better. And again, maybe the UK will dissolve in the next 10-20 years which would be wonderful.

Just saw this on the tele while I was having some tea and crumpets. My neighbor, whom I was talking to on the lift, was headed out for holiday, and was wondering how this was going to affect me job. Think it is time to go get some warm beer and get pissed.

My guess would be around the -600 mark.

The biggest problem isn't necessarily that the UK just tanked its own economy (and London will likely lose its banking sector), but this vote now creates that magic word that the stock market hates - uncertainty.

Germany is going to have a hell of a time trying to keep the EU together if it doesn't want a complete global economic fiasco

"Those who believe Brexit is a U.K. problem are misunderstanding the impact it will have globally. They’re forgetting the impact that Greece had — and Greece is much smaller than the U.K., and not a financial center. The vote to leave could result in a global recession. It’s likely that the chances of a global recession have risen above 50%.” — Arif Husain, head of international fixed income at T. Rowe Price

Just one hot take of many.

This could be gg for the market and economy for the immediate future.

On the upside, a vacation to London might be pretty cheap soon.

The jingoistic poor and uneducated that voted for Brexit will now be worth less, have worse living conditions, and likely a roll-back of labor laws meant to protect them. So they pretty much screwed themselves, but hey they sent a "Fuck the System!" message and won.

Scotland will no doubt drum up a referrendum to leave again. Bank of England doesn't have many options. The pound is plummeting, and there's a chance there could be a ripple around the world. Today will obviously be a bloodbath in the markets, but over the next few weeks the dominoes could continue to fall, and global recession may be in our future.

Black Friday or just fear mongering...that's the question.

Boris Johnson is a moron. It's bad enough that the vote went the way it did, but having Johnson (man achievement being the Mayor of London) would be a real double whammy. I mean I'm no fan of David Cameron at all, but having Johnson step in would not be an improvement.

and btw, of course Trump is over there right now advocating a position, meanwhile he literally doesn't even know who Boris Johnson is. A reporter asked if he'd prefer Boris step in as PM, and he replied something like "Boris? Who is that, I don't know him."

I got nothing on a brain eating amoeba.
