So much greatness and sadness happening here.

The last Waker that will ever be played, Mikey was show to show at this point and only had three more in him.

JB, just totally and selflessly in tune with what house was doing...everyone knew the importance of what was happening.

The crowd still looks the same today as it did then.

I'm hoping to go out to Red Rocks and see Widespread with some friends that are fans. Any ants have any tips on where to find face value tickets besides Cash or Trade?

Friday's usually aren't too hard to get, Sunday's you can usually find since some folks bail in the 3rd night (terrible idea). This year, Saturday is the ticket though since it's their 50th sellout. That one at face will be tough.

They are about $80 face, I've paid $120 to a broker before when I had to. Denver craigslist is a good place to watch.

Thanks so much for the insight, I appreciate it. We booked our flight home on Monday so we could make sure to try and make it to Sunday's show.

Maybe we'll do Fri and Sun and just skip Saturday. My friend who has been following them forever has assured me we'll find tickets by just showing up, but that is really good insight for Saturday. Not sure I want to just show up Saturday

The lot at RR is tons of fun and your friend may be right.

There is usually extra tickets, it just right place, right time. I see a Saturday on vivid seats for $106, probably plus fees but that's not bad. Saturday is gonna be great.

Also, there are three day passes out there too.

Saturday night will be Widespread Panics 50th consecutive sellout at Red Rocks. Think about that for a second.

It's going to be one of the best concerts there ever.

That's pretty incredible! I saw them there back in 2001 or so, performed Ain't life Grand in it's entirety. Was so sick. 3rd row.

It's the best. I've been here in Denver.

Three sets, just a super party and always a great set list. Prob. My favorite show of the year. I'll be listening if I can.

Agreed. Especially as a Southerner, or more specifically, a Georgian.

Saw em several times while at Ole Miss, but only once since I moved out here 5 years ago. And from the sounds of it, I may not get too many more opportunities out here. Be interesting to see what their future touring is like.

I know I feel like it's sacrilegious but I never have! Plenty of chances to see them and it's just never happened. Been listening to them since HS so I know a good bit of their music just not as deeply immersed in it like I am Phish. I won't know 100% of the songs they play but I know I'll have a blast.

What's even crazier is I've never been to a concert on NYE

Heard a Rumor the band will be playing Jazzfest 5/4, then doing a three night run in Austin 5/5-5/7. Anyone heard the same? Think it would be weird for them to be doing Texas if this is their slow year..

How are Panic New Years shows? Do they start late or start a little earlier and do the countdown near the end of the show?

Hope it's true. First time seeing them was at Jazzfest in 2001. Dying Man and I was hooked. Plus we were planning on going on 5/4 this year because its basically the only day we can. And Thursday is the best day at Jazzfest crowdwise by far.

    Here is last years show.

Three sets and an encore. Third set is the longest and starts after the countdown. It's a late night.

They probably start at 8:15 - 8:30 is my guess.

Dude, it was incredible! One of the most fun concerts I've ever been to and one of the rowdiest crowds.

Paul Simon cover in the first set? I couldn't believe it. The strings sounded beautiful. Pigeons to start the second set is when it started to get real. Almost cried during Tall Boy because I was finally hearing it in person as silly as that sounds

That third set was just a big ole party. The horns and back up singers were perfect. The balloon drop was so much fun. I've seen it on Phish videos and finally getting to experience it was a real treat. Then then they come back out and open with DISCEAUX!! I absolutely lost my shit. Seeing the water fly and getting all wet during Chilly Water was awesome

The encore man....For What It's Worth>Burning Down the House. Lost my voice during that. God dammit that was fun as shit. I fucking love Panic.
