Reynolds wasn't the problem, it was the horrible script and the awful decisions made regarding the villains and action. I actually thought Reynolds fit Hal to a T. Tom a Cruise would be almost 60 when this comes out, would be a terrible choice. And I like Tom Cruise.
And Kev it's funny you mention that, I just reread Court and City of Owls about a month or two ago. Really does hold up well. Snyder's narrative style is old to me by now but he was still crushing it back then. I agree that it could translate really well on the big screen, as well. The psychological torment and confusion of being trapped in the maze beneath the city would be awesome to watch. Imagine him hallucinating various villains he's gone against over the years, or having a traumatic flashback to the death of Robin?
