Hey, any new fans: How did you get into DMB?
I've been a big fan for a while, over 15 years. I want to know if there's anyone here that's been a fan for less than one year. It would be cool for me to know how you got into DMB 8^) Feel free to share that info 8^)

    I was on the way back from winning state in high school baseball and my friend put in Red Rocks 95 and played Two Step. The "celebrate we will" got me hooked. So Two Step was the song that got me hooked.

    Pulling in to the Gorge last week the parking attendant asked me "what type of music is Dave Matthews anyway?" I was shocked. He said he was 17 and had never heard a single song of theirs... should I not be surprised by this anymore?

    Hopefully you told him two things: Talk your way in to get a lawn seat and learn how to torrent older shows so he can hear the real thing.

    That's just sad. I know DMB isn't popular anymore, but you'd at least expect people to know songs like Ants, Crash into Me, maybe even WWYS.

    All of those songs you listed came out no less than two years before this kid was born.


    It's not that hard to believe- DMB hasn't been young people pop culture relevant since around that time anyway.

    I'm only 19 but i have been listening to this band since 2000 so I cant say I'm a new fan.
