First part, see below.

Second part is that all all-star games are to dick around (except when MLB decided it was a good idea to have it "mean something"). So why get your panties in a bunch about one game?

Exactly. Had you watched the last 5 minutes, you would've seen 10 of the best players in the world going at it very competitively.

Can't stand seeing Lebron wearing hipster glasses. They're clearly the lensless ones that people wear try and look cool. What a fucking fake human being.

It seems there's a lot more "defending" this game than me complaining. I'm glad that the last five minutes were "competitive". Whatever. I didn't waste my time watching it. You people did.

We didn't waste our time. I don't understand why you expect it to be something other than it is. Or why you're now wasting your time bothering to state the obvious and complain because an exhibition game was just that.

    Exactly.

I don't know one person who watches the all-star game for anything other than ridiculous dunks and people just chucking up long threes. Thats what the all-star game is.

Exhibition games are more competitive than that game. Again, that was just adults running around with the "game" being a ruse. The only losers were the people watching.

And I find that completely dumb. What's the big deal? To call that game competitive is BEYOND stupid. That's the point I'm making. No one watched any competition last night. No one.

Who the hell gives a shit? It's ENTERTAINING. Oh darn, the guys weren't taking it seriously. Is that supposed to ruin the amazing things they did on the court? Does that take away from a ridiculously exciting ending? If you're looking for competition, you shouldn't watch any all star events. Even baseball, where it means something, there is little to no competition.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't think most people turn it on expecting more than a Harlem Globetrotters game.

I never said any other All Star game WAS competitive. Some people just don't get things...

Edit: Everyone here is STILL talking about the ending. Oh man. Heart attack city!!

Yea, you. And what you aren't getting is nobody other than you gives a shit about competition if the entertainment value is extremely high. Even with the halftime margin, the game was exciting. It was everything you tune in for in an all-star game. Fancy passes, high flying dunks, high powered offense. If you're looking for anything other than that, it's your own problem and you shouldn't try to act like your opinion is anything other than that, an opinion.

I'd say rivietting. I was on the edge of my seat all night. Even during the repeat when I knew who won.

I'm of the opinion that the All Star game is stupid and not entertaining. It's factually non-competitive. You're of the opinion that it's entertaining. It's still factually non-competitive. What's the big deal?

What is this guy getting his panties in such a bunch for? It's a meaningless exhibition, that's just for fun and enjoyment. We saw silly fun dunks and passes and big men taking threes for 3.5 quarters or so, then saw a close game with an exciting ending, can you really expect or want more from an allstar game?:rolleye

That's all I've basically said. That and it's a waste of time. I'm not the one trying to make dumb defenses out of what it is like "the pro bowl is worse". Yeah, no shit the pro bowl is worse.

I think a hint of defense would be refreshing. Otherwise, just have the teams come out and put on their shows/displays.

To call that a "game" is insulting to any other game ever.

Roger, I don't know what the hell you're trying to prove in here today. You just look dumb. Sorry dude but you do. Only thing I can think of is that you're trolling. That or you're just pissed because you watched it and are angry at yourself? I'm beyond confused at what you're trying to prove.

I don't understand how people are excited about the "dunks" in the all star activity last night. I thought there was a dunk contest to showcase dunks. Oh well. Apparently, that is the new All Star "game".

I mean, even players are saying what I'm saying, but what do I know?

"At some point, you've got to do something to make it exciting again," said Mavericks point guard Jason Kidd, a 10-time All-Star. "I know the whole event has gotten bigger and it's become an entire weekend of things to see and do. But the main part is supposed to be the All-Star Game itself and I feel like we've lost some of the edge that comes when guys really care about who wins and who loses."

. "So by its nature that presents a problem. So you've got to create some kind of edge.
East-West? Who cares? The coasts and conferences aren't so wide apart anymore. We all have so many games on TV. We need something new."

"I'm in favor of anything that gets the competition going in a game," said Billups. "That's why we all play the game, out on the playgrounds when we're kids or when we're in the NBA. That's what it's all about."
