Actually the official Pottermore blog has been updated and the next registration will open not according to the pattern. It'll be somewhere in between 2PM and 6PM BST, which translates to 9AM to 1PM Eastern Time.

Malfoy got royally fucked by his parents. He had their sense of entitlement as a kid, but clearly wanted nothing to do with their activities as he got older and knew the repercussions. He's just below Snape on the "tortured soul" list.

Even with all this stuff you guys are doing to get into the website and 'registered' I guess what it is, nothing's really going on with it until like October, right? I mean, there's not gonna be a finite amount of people who are ultimately allowed to be on there and do the full interaction of activities is there?

"A million registrants are going to be granted early entry into Pottermore to help give it the finishing touches..."

That's what the email with the link to activate your account says.

After you validate you get this: "Congratulations! You've successfully validated your early access Pottermore account. You will be one of the lucky few to shape the experience before the site opens to all in October. You may have to wait a few weeks for your Welcome email to arrive as we can't let everyone into the Beta site at the same time."

Other than what that says, that's about all I know.

Okay, well yea I certainly don't really care about being an "early shaper" of the site or anything. I'm sure I'll have a desire at some point to get involved with it somehow, but I'm in no rush whatsoever.

btw I've been meaning to ask of the thread regulars... how many of you have this thread on "subscribe"?

    wow...

Went to the website for the guy who made that trailer... he's 17, and expects to make $100K this year.. ON YOUTUBE! Now, he says he is going to pay a pretty penny in taxes b/c he's self-employed... but damn. He's got skills and dough.

yea and I mean check out some of the "related vids" too guys, he also has this mini lego version of the forest confrontation between Harry and Voldemort, and just using the original audio, not doing his own bad voiceover or anything.

I do now I actually had no idea I could subscribe to a thread until quite literally 30 seconds ago.

Well I mean there was a good healthy stretch there for awhile when honestly, nobody would've really needed to. Since, as I've seen it, you get an email reminder every time a new post is made in the thread, particularly around the middle of the month you would've been getting about 114 of those notices a day I've only ever subscribed to one thread (Lost) though frankly I'm not even sure if I made that change on purpose or just kinda fell into making happen, and never changed it later.

The first three books, compared to the final four, are pretty "boring"...at least in the sense that it is A LOT of back-ground and character development. It will pay off, Beefy, just keep going. Chamber of Secrets sets up stuff that you'll read in the sixth and seventh books and you'll go "HOLY SHIT, that's what that was in CoS!?!?!?!?"

I checked out HPSS from the library last weekend, because I wanted to re-read them from the start. My girlfriend and I wound up taking turns reading a chapter to each other (yes, we're HP dorks), and finished it the next day. Been trying to get CoS, but no copies are available at the moment..

I ended up with CloakHex3. I liked it the best out of that, QuaffleShield77, WatchChestnut16, WombatElm60, and..........wait for it..........MoonQueen173 (this, of course, was AFTER it knew I was a male).

Yeah, finished Chamber yesterday and I can already see how it is connecting to some of the later stuff. So, was the diary a horcrux?

Since you've seen all the movies, yes, it was.

I'm glad you're seeing it starting to pay off, Beefy.

Just tried to get into Pottermore (finally saw when the clue was up), but I don't think it worked. I put in the correct answer at the end of the link and it just took me to the WWoHP website. Poopy.

This happened to me a couple of times when I registered before it worked.

I should have posted this earlier, but just thought about it now. When I was doing it, I had to use my work computer to find the quill on the Sony website (which is where the answer, www.pottermore.com/112, took me) but had to use my iPhone to do the actual registering because Pottermore is blocked at work.

Basically, after I found the quill, it tried to take me to:
    http://www.pottermore.com/en/magical-quill/found?
Since that was blocked on my work computer, I just put that into my iPhone and it worked.

After going there, it just took another click which took me to:
    http://www.pottermore.com/en/magical-quill/register
After I registered myself, I registered my wife since she was asleep. All I did was go to the register address again and it worked just fine.

So if you are able to catch it when registration is open again, just try going to one of these links. Maybe it will work and you won't even have to bother trying to find the quill.

I like CloakHex3 the best out of those, too. lol at MoonQueen173 When I chose mine I really wanted it to sound very HP-like, and Elm and Phoenix both relate to wands, and they sound bad ass together, so I went with that. Cloak and Hex are also great cause they're so colloquial in the HP universe. Has a nice ring to it, too. Some that I've seen are just weird and obscure.. ThornStorm for example.
