Isn't this where they shot the cover for Everyday, too? I had a former coworker who went there and I vaguely remember her telling me something along those lines.

    Found this in another thread:

Back in 1999/2000 the band purchased a house that was under construction (I guess the original owner decided he didn't want it after construction started) on several acres and it had an extensive basement that was built for recording (a home recording studio). The band purchased it and it became sort of a defacto headquarters and recording studio. This is where the lillywhites where recorded before they were abandoned. this was seen in the Everyday video (when Judah came by and hugged the band). Several photographs were circulating of the building itself. Some casual photos of the band walking to the dock (where the Everyday cover photo was shot), which shows this house in the background.

When Haunted hollow was said to be built on several acres on a wooded rural Virginia site, I wondered if this was the same property description as the previous studio. When the New Album website showed Stefan fishing on that pond, I was pretty sure it was the same place. In the "view from the inside" video, Carter is seen talking outside, behind the original building that was purchased way back when. That also seems to point ot the fact that Haunted Hollow is on the same property.

And.. The Space Between video was filmed in Florida somewhere. Makes sense since it was February or so when they filmed it, and it would be pretty cold in Virginia around that time.

If you're trying to sell to just DMB fans then do a LiveTrax. If you're trying to make money for charity and want people to find it in iTunes you need an official release.

Will definitely be buying this. Sounds like an awesome release. There isn't enough Dave solo material out there.

Because an official live release is extra, if they continue doing the LT/DMBLive combo they've been doing.

Benaroya Fool to Think made me like that song. It was always a take or leave song...Love that you can clearly hear his guitar, sounds way better acoustic.

Well, alumni, friends of Sweet Briar College, and residents of the town, none of whom may be DMB fans, or even heard of DMB, might pull the trigger on getting this when word spreads all the proceeds goes to Sweet Briar College. As was said before, it helps that they could find it on iTunes.

I guess. Couldn't they just cut a check instead of buy a CD for an artist they don't care about? I don't see why releasing it on iTunes is going to increase sales buy a noticeable margin.

Technically, any band can put anything they want on iTunes. But I understand maybe it sets a precedent they don't want to set, etc etc. Just saying iTunes isn't necessarily a make or break in the decision to do an "LT" release v. a "live album" release.

I don't know but I'm glad they are revisiting the "Live At" series.

they have some, but the most recent one I can find is LT20, it'd be nice to buy new LTs on iTunes and have purchases backed up on the account

Not to diminish other band members' contributions, but DMB is absolutely all about Dave's guitar riffs; they are what really makes the band sound the way it does.

Definitely looking forward to this one, cool they're doing some merch with it as well but I'm likely going with the flacs.

Live at Sweet Briar College 4.14.1996

This special, uncirculated Dave Matthews solo acoustic performance was recorded in Spring, 1996 outside at the Sweet Briar College Dell, just before the release of the band’s sophomore album Crash. The show is intimate and carefree and Dave takes his time sharing stories regarding the place of inspiration for "Crash Into Me" (a dorm within viewing distance of the stage) and a recent trip to Africa. This rare performance features beautiful solo acoustic renditions of full-band songs with highlights including “#41," "Lie In Our Graves," "Seek Up” and “#36.”

Please note - Live At Sweet Briar College is available for pre-order and will be released on August 19, 2016. CDs will ship or around August 16. Downloads will be available on August 19.
