Hurricane Season 2020

It’s that time of year again. 3 days in and already 3 named storms.
Looks to be an active season.

Tropical Storm Hanna heading towards the Texas coast. Forecast to be a low-end hurricane at landfall.

    https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/storm_graph...e_and_wind.png

    Key Messages

    1. There is a danger of life-threatening storm surge along the Texas
coast from Baffin Bay to Sargent, where a Storm Surge Warning is in
effect. Residents in these locations should follow advice given by
    local emergency officials.

    2. Hurricane conditions are expected along the Texas coast from
Baffin Bay to Mesquite Bay, where a Hurricane Warning is in effect.
Tropical storm conditions are expected to first reach the coast
within the warning area Saturday morning.

    3. Hanna is expected to produce heavy rains across portions of
southern Texas and northeastern Mexico. These rains could result in
life-threatening flash flooding and isolated minor to moderate river
    flooding.

Beyond the Texas storm, things are really going to ramp up the next couple weeks. Could see development of several storms in the Atlantic.

Also a hurricane headed towards the main island of Hawaii. Weakening storm, thankfully for them.

Hurricane season is always scary, but this year, it's scary as shit to think about. The virus is going to have a field day if we have any major storms come through.

TD #9 has potential to slowly strengthen. Most models have it going to Florida.
Like you said..scary as shit to think about. It’s hard enough now to get basic supplies..let alone have a storm blow through.

We’re supposed to get a lot of rain. Second tropical storm in 2 months for us, the first one was more wet than wind.

Ouch... so it went from bad to worse. Can’t imagine what back to back hurricanes would do to New Orleans even if they’re only cat 1s.

I really hope that anyone even remotely close to the coast in Louisiana has gotten the hell out of there already. This is going to be catastrophic. It's not like a hurricane on the coast of Florida that can shift its track and miss the entire state like Matthew and Dorian did, it's headed directly towards the coast and will hit at full strength.
