Just got around to listening to this. This blows LT9, LT10, Piedmont Park and RCMH out of the water with setlist and song performance.

I always loved ADSR, I did when it received a much maligned response in '07. Melodically, it just sounds something like Radiohead would have written. Not surprising as Dave is a Radiohead fan.

Why did you not attend any shows from '09 - '15?

I lived out in the boondocks those years. Still do. For much of those years the closest show was the Gorge and that was still hundreds of miles away.

On Loving Wings now, this song really exemplifies how integral Leroi was to this band.

Just noticed there are two different cover arts on the DMB store for this.

    https://davematthewsband.shop.musictoday.com/store/

On the front page where they hype 3 of the most recent live trax, this one is in the middle^

    https://davematthewsband.shop.musict...roduct/DMDD149

and this is the actual cover art of the cd^

    just found it strange

Listening to this, it's a breath of fresh air from the current line up, but I remember in 2007 being totally fed up with setlists and thinking that Cornbread, A Dream So Real, and Eh Hee were not that great of additions to the full band repertoire. Also You Might Die Trying really took some legs of it's own, but wasn't quite as good as it became in 2008 with Tim.

I remember being sick of Butch and the two step solos for 10 minutes. I was ready for 2008 and the addition of Tim. 10 years later, I would love to go back again. I'm ready for this band to make some type of change with the sound. Hopefully new album will breathe some fresh air into them.

yeah, I remember catching ADSR like 4 times in '07 and hating it

now I'd love for it to come back

I always liked Cornbread from the start but disliked it because DMB drowned us with it at basically every show

2007 dmb still sounded like dmb. despite the solos and the hyperspeed grey st, butch accompanied the band so well.

A Dream So Real sounds much better as a soundboard than in concert. i don't remember dave playing guitar on it, though. was that only spac 2008 bc butch was gone?

this jane is pretty stellar, too. not a good era for the band, but some stand alone cuts are top notch. boyd playing well and controlled, not just sawing some wood up there on the stage

Just got around to downloading this one, very enjoyable for a 2007 show. That IIHIA is incredible. Also solid versions of Rapunzel, Loving Wings, SUAD, Crush, and Shotgun.

I, too, finally got around to listening to this for the first time last week... definitely solid for a 2007 show. Very dark show, yet there is a certain hopefullness there as well (Nancies is a good example). Putting it in context of the abandoned Batson sessions/the band nearly breaking up, it's truly amazing that they not only survived this era, but really came bouncing back in '08 with a renewed vigor!

I would give anything for a vinyl release of this A Dream So Real... so beautiful! It sounds like it should be playing on a dusty old turntable in the 1950s.
