Noel's HFB has a new album coming along with a tour that won't touch the US.

Really digging Noel's new album. Lock all the Doors would have made a fantastic Oasis tune. Would love to hear what Liam would have sounded like on that track.

    Re: Official Oasis Appreciation Thread

Just went to see Liam's Lollapalooza aftershow last night at the Park West in Chicago. Really fun time. Liam was as feisty as ever, battling with the sound man, but seemed to be in good spirits, he was high-fiving the folks down front, sang really well, and his band is tight. About 5 Oasis tunes and 8 from his upcoming record. No Beady Eye songs. He opened up with Rock and Roll Star and Morning Glory back to back so the place was rocking from the jump! He played for just a little over an hour, no encore.

    Setlist:

    Fuckin In The Bushes (Tape)
    Rock N Roll Star
    Morning Glory
    Wall of Glass
    Greedy Soul
    Bold
    D'You Know What I Mean?
    Slide Away
    Eh La
    Chinatown
    I Get By
    You Better Run
    Universal Gleam
    Be Here Now

Liam is sounding better than he has in the last 10-15 years, probably. At least from what I saw when he performed at Ariana Grande's Manchester thing.

    Still a dick, though. #TeamNoel

Pumped to see Liam's show in Denver in November. Big Oasis fan. Wasn't sure I'd get the chance to see either of the brothers. New Liam tunes sound good. Awesome that his voice is really sounding solid. Oasis reunion could be almost as lucrative as GN'R reunion if they would bury the hatchet.

I'm still convinced they'll do it someday. Liam made a comment just a few weeks back about how he still wants to "get back to being brothers" or something like that. Someone will throw enough money at them to get them to do it someday.

If they reunited, it'd be interesting if they got back together the classic Liam/Noel/Bonehead/Guigsy/Alan White lineup from the Morning Glory/Be Here Now era, or if they'd use the 2000's lineup with Andy Bell, Gem Archer, and either Zak Starkey or Chris Sharrock on drums.

I think it's funny how Noel goes the musician route for Oasis tunes and tries to change arrangements/keys such as Wonderwall or Supersonic(which can yield great results). Liam knows that fans want to hear the original arrangement if he's going to play classic Oasis tunes in the live set.

I never really considered myself to be on one "side" of the split, but I definitely prefer Noel's solo work over Beady Eye/Liam. Not surprising as he's just such a great songwriter and his memorable hooks and melodies are what the other guys lack without him. At the same time though, a lot of it could benefit from some of Liam's edge and attitude, which is why they're just so much better together!

Meh, honestly I prefer some of the versions Noel does these days. Especially Champagne Supernova.

Hearing don't look back in anger at governor ball in 2015 is probably the most liberating concert experience I ever had. Only three personally-influencing moments at any concert experience, and this was one of them. (Brandi carlile at Newport folk fest in 2015, I actually cried from one of the notes she sang; and then Florence and the machine shake it out. Convinced you hear that song live and you can leave feeling you can conquer anything)

Liam walked off stage after performing only 3 songs at Lollapalooza this afternoon. Crowd started chanted Noel's name.

He's since posted on Twitter that his voice was shot from last night's gig.

Hilarious. I was at last night's show, and he definitely was having some issues with the sound all night, because he kept walking over to the guy at the soundboard (there was a soundboard in the standard position in front of house, but another one actually on the stage off to the side) during the instrumental breaks and between songs and barking at him, clearly irritated.

The last song was Be Here Now, and as it ended, he was looking off to the side of the stage and gave the "throat slash" gesture as if to say "That's it, I'm done." Prior setlists have shown he has done Wonderwall after Be Here Now so I'm thinking he cut that out.

As someone who sings in band, I definitely know how you can end up blowing your voice out having to scream due to shitty monitors, but after only doing a 65 minute set last night, I can't believe he couldn't just try to power through his Lolla set.

    Typical Liam.

Such a classic example of a band where the whole was so much greater than the sum of the parts. Yes, it's all Noel's tunes, but without Liam's attitude and voice, it just isn't the same.

I much prefer Noel's solo stuff to Beady Eye and what I've heard from Liam's solo record so far, but at the same time Noel seems to shy away from any of the straight up rockers, almost like he knows that it isn't his wheelhouse vocally. There's no Cigarettes & Alcohol or Rock N Roll Star or even later period Oasis slammers like Lyla or Bag It Up.
