Dodgers fans are in for some serious heartbreak come October. 70 games over .500 and knocked out in the NLDS by the Rockies.

i would LOVE that. dodgers are setting up to be the 2001 mariners. i would feel bad about kershaw not getting a ring though. let him win it now so when the rockies get into their window to win, they can just roll the dodgers every year and kershaw won't be in the twilight of his career still trying to get a ring.

rockies need to win the WC game first and MUST steal a game in LA to have a shot at the series, if that scenario actually becomes reality.

    Yeah, I mean I don't get it.

Enjoy what Stanton is doing if you love the guy so much - Aaron Judge literally has nothing to do with him/it.

at one point in the season they were tied for the league lead in HRs. they went against each other in the HR derby. now judge fell off drastically while stanton is only getting better.

kudos to MLB on the little league classic in williamsport tonight.

for anyone who didn't watch, the pirates and cardinals played a real game in williamsport at an A ball stadium with 2,300 seats. both teams spent the afternoon at the LLWS hanging out with the kids and watching the games. all 16 LLWS teams then got to go to the MLB game and were all sitting in the first 10 rows around home plate and dugouts. the MLB teams were wearing their players weekend jerseys a week early (thats going to be another success next weekend), and throughout the game the scoreboard showed the players old LL photos and their answers to the typical questions the little league players are asked, like favorite food and superhero. in the spirit of the LLWS, the cards and buccos shook hands after the game at home plate.

kids and players all seemed to love it. fully expecting this to be a new tradition, as it should, because it was a really cool setting to have a game. probably have the phillies as part of it next year.

I still don't understand what Stanton hitting 45 home runs has to do with Judge.

Judge is a rookie, and Stanton has the highest value contract in American sports history - shouldn't Stanton of course be more productive?

Marlins were 13 games under .500 in late May and have pulled back even. Basically a 7-22 stretch that month killed their season.

Love this. I've had the pleasure of driving through Williamsport twice and we rode right by the stadiums and that feeling is something I'll never forget. Hope I can go to the LLWS one day.
