One of the details of the marketing where I've really liked how they've handled it, if you look at the entirety of all the footage we've seen so far they're not necessarily even trying to keep the creature totally hidden. I mean if you remember back on the atrocity that was the 1998 film, they tried to ride that wave a very specific way of just how little we'd actually see of Godzilla leading up to the release. and the company behind this of course is perfectly aware that millions of people saw that movie, and while I'm sure the overall design of him will be better, it's probably not like a night/day difference between the two. So it's like they're telling us "who are we kidding, you all know more or less what the thing looks like, so let's not even spend a lot of time worrying about the crafting of that reveal". I feel like it's actually them sort of respecting the audience.
and I do totally love the rough sort of edge to the sound of his scream there at the end.
