God damn it. Good luck counting cards in today's gambling climate, where they use 8 decks MINIMUM per hand.

    The Number 23 - 3/10

One of the worst movies I've seen in a long time.

(aka who wants to be a millonare) i thought it was good, probably really good, but not greatness. not like (recently) no country or the departed or a beautiful mind. i wont have a problem if (when) it wins best picture but thatll only be because its the only nominee ive seen. im HOPING that after seeing the others, ill be outraged that slumdog won

Milk and Frost/Nixon crush Slumdog, I assure you. So does Ben Button, but to a lesser extent than the other two.

Forgotten gem with Ireland and Bronson (playing against type for once). Try to find it online or on VHS if you can.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles is my all-time favorite Candy movie. Great Outdoors isn't too terribly far behind.

In a lesser role, he's fucking awesome in Rookie of the Year.

Also love his bit part in Home Alone.

I think he was the first celebrity death in my life that really upset me.

    Interesting article:

The Curious Case of Gran Torino
    http://www.time.com/time/arts/articl...0.html?cnn=yes

I think Clint should have been at least nominated for a Best Actor Oscar. He plays a completely different character in this film. And at 78 that is incredible.

I think there are at least five leading male performances from this year that I'd nominate over Clint.

    Rourke
    Penn
    Farrell
    Jenkins
    Langella
    Rockwell
    Cheadle
    Segal
    Gleeson

I thought he was pretty typical Clint.

We watched In Search Of A Midnight Kiss, the other night. Doubt anyone has heard of it, but it's a great indie film, great acting and filming overall.
