Apparently, the Flash is gonna debut as Barry Allen in Episode 8 and 9 of Arrow but not in costume, then his costume debut will be in the pilot episode of the new series, The Flash instead of Episode 20 of Arrow as planned.

I'm excited, The Flash is awesome. I hope they do this as well as they've done Arrow.

Agreed! I've loved The Flash since I was a kid...evn though I never really read the comics and they never hd a movie. Just the TV series in 1990. But there's just always been something I liked about The Flash. Always hoped he'd get a movie or something. I keep saying it, but I'm really anxious to see if these shows all tie into the movies.

I'm hoping they'll do more crossovers, or do a big screen film with some of these characters from the TV universes that they're building.

Rumor is that these characters will cross into the Justice League movie. I just can't see them putting all this effort into these shows just to have a completely different take/actor in the movie. I think it's a very cool way to do it. Marvel did all the movies first then started S.H.I.E.L.D. So it would be nice to see DC not copy Marvel's formula.

I dig the fact that it's a darker costume. So it's not all bright red and shit, a more modern take on it.

Da fuck? That looks terrible. I can understand wanting a more "real-world" costume, but The Flash is all about speed (obviously). That baggy leather suit looks like it weighs a ton. For sure not Flash-like.

EDIT: And why is it maroon/burgandy? Flash wears bright red and yellow, come on CW.

Because God forbid any superhero have any color in their suit anymore. I don't hate it but I definitely agree that it looks super baggy and doesn't make sense with a character that is supposed to be the fastest man alive.

Maybe it's a pre-suit? Like, he tries his hand at coming up with a costume and that's the best he can come up with, but is then later hooked up with bomb-ass gear?

“Red Skies Vanish” in the newspaper, this is from Crisis on Infinite Earths, perhaps they’re building up to that. Along with “Flash Missing, Vanishes in Crisis”.
The Wayne Tech/Queen Industries Merger hopefully is building more of a shared universe, as well.
