I finished Deadwood last night and it really made me angry that HBO cancelled that show, like they've done with a few other great shows--Carnivale, Rome etc. It left so many unanswered questions. It would've been cool to see a Deadwood movie to finish off the show.

I thought season 3 may've been the weakest of the the three seasons. I didn't care for the theater owner guy and his associates. I felt like it kind of stalled the momentum of the show's main story, too much.

Overall, it was great show that ended too soon.

I'm two episodes in on 'Rectify'. Jury is still out for me. Its engaging and I want to watch more but it seems to be trying too hard at times. I like the Holden dude though. He's pretty complex. Also, the step-brother's wife is hot as fuck.

Currently watching the pilot of Top of the Lake.

Gonna finish in probably two days.

Elisabeth Moss is a crazy good actress, her accent is perfect.

Also, TIL she's married to Fred Armisen. That's awesome.

so I've finally gotten started watching Breaking Bad, I just finished episode 6. I'm assuming since this show is on AMC, much like with Mad Men, the few times the f-bomb is dropped, you can hear it here on netflix or the DVDs, but it's bleeped during broadcast.

crap, I only just realized the first season is only 7 episodes long. well that sucks.

Just finished the "Bit By A Dead Bee" episode of Breaking Bad. Unbelievably fucking epic. Walter had every single conceivable angle accounted for of the story, for both he and Jessie... except the 2nd cell that Skylar asks right at the end. And man, I've felt for him. Because I've devised some pretty big whoppers in my time (not to cover a friggin murder or drug deal or anything ) and I feel so proud of myself for planning for every answer, then it turns out there's one detail I forgot.

Be careful there Junior. Better to talk about specific episodes in the Breaking Bad thread.

well that's true, my bad. Ironic thing is, I was afraid to go in there and get spoilers because I'm so far behind on the show

Yeah, had no clue what it was about until I Wiki'd it.

But Diane Kruger is in it and she's a babe.

It was supposed to be longer but the writer's strike split the season. They ended season one way different than it was supposed to end.

Any other ideas for me to occupy my time? The Wire? West Wing? Any comedy?

The Wire for sure. I have no clue what you have seen but since you haven't seen The Wire maybe you haven't seen Curb?

Started The Wire. Into second half of S1.

Without spoilers, the next seasons are different main storylines right? As in none of these characters are in it? Or am I wrong there?

Also, I remember people always saying S2 is the worst, is that about right?

Most of the characters from S1 return and you get some additional new characters for Season 2. The location/main story shifts a bit. Season 2 is my least favorite.

Holy shit the ending montage to S1 of The Wire is like a gift they give you for watching the whole season. It's unbelievable.

random hypothetical: the season finales of Game Of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Dexter and Boardwalk Empire are all on the same night.

In which order do you watch them?

Different story if commercials are in play here. Always DVR AMC shows so you can blast thru the Freakshow and Small Town Security commercials.

Has anyone seen the show Breakout Kings? because I'm a big fan of con man stories, I love White Collar, so from what I've heard about it, the government using a team of experienced cons to catch other criminals, I was considering it.
