Honestly, I'm a big fan. However, I'm the kind of guy who deep down at his first (and only, so far) show was secretly hoping that the impossible would happen and Spotlight would finally come back, perfected. Or maybe a Kill the King revival...honestly, I just like just about damn near anything the guys play.

I feel like everyone just hears "Beautiful plastic girl/world" and thinks it's going to be the new I Did It. This song seems set up great to have constant interchanging lyrics played live, so I don't understand how anyone can complain about the lyrics from only 2 live versions. But I think it would transition into Joy Ride really well.

Personally, I love the music in this song... not a fan of the lyrics... not sure why Dave insists on using the word "plastic" on, seemingly, so many songs. For some reason, I think it's subconscious, the word plastic makes me feel like the song is somehow less organic or authentic? Like having that word in the lyrics gives the song less of a chance to be a great song for years to come? I have a feeling many others feel the same way... but should we? *shrug* I don't know.

The bridge of this song is legitimately the worst thing I've ever heard from the band. Its embarrassing. The rest of the song doesn't bother me. The lyrics are a bit blah but I actually like the music. Until that bridge.... woooof.

I honestly don't see how Plastic Girl was far and away worse than some other stuff they've put on albums recently. I think Plastic Girl is just as "good" as TGIY. The only redeeming thing about those two songs is the music.
