Can someone give me an idea of what this Superball festival is all about. What type of other acts will be there (if any)? Cuz $200 for 3 days of music and camping is a great deal. Thinking about making the 5.5 hour trip.

Nevermind, I think I answered my own question. I journeyed over to phish.net boards and from what I can gather it's just phish.

Superball IX is basically about Phish. They may have a few sideshow acts like a band playing in the sunken city or a philharmonic playing some classical tunes. Other than things like that it's about the camp grounds, all of the infrastructure they usually put up, the ferris wheel

, generally all cool and interesting stuff. Musically, it's all about Phish though. The experience alone will be worth the trip, the vibe won't be like any other.

Anyways, thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I am going to strongly consider it. The biggest hurdle will be talking my other half into it. I fucking love a road trip!

I dunno if there HAS to be one. It would be a littler strange to have the fest in between 2 legs. I wouldn't be surprised if this was it.

Super Ball IX has been announced, and second leg dates will be forthcoming. Not to mention that there has still been a bunch of talk about Phish playing a second festival at Bader in September.

Spac the same weekend as travers as well as daves rumored nyc caravan. Can't wait! I got the bomb hookup for lower level pavilions, its gonna be a great show.

I'd say the Phish @ the NYC Caravan is more speculation than rumor.

Not quite sure why everyone is up in a tizzy about 2nd leg dates. Its early April, those dates most likely won't be until mid August. Its still pretty far away.

haha I understand. I want dates really bad too I just have forgotten about them because it has become annoying waiting on them. Why cant ya make the festival phanner?

Id rather do DC>Alpine, but if that's not happening, I'll go to the festy...but I'm also hearing that the attendance is capped at 60,000 (there was a legit looking article posted on PT earlier anyway) so I'd like to get tickets sooner rather than later to avoid overpaying on stubhub or something

I don't think you'll have any problem getting a ticket for the fest. They have to release leg two dates within the next two weeks or so. Just hold off until they do. Best of luck
