Re: Favorite beer of choice?

Okay, my dad just picked up a 12 pack of Magic Hat Feast of Fools. It has #9, Circus Boy, Odd Notion, and Roxy Rolles.

Anyone had any of these before? I know that #9 has gotten a lot of love in here. So I'm looking forward to another try of it.

I'm over my love of #9.

Circus Boy is a decent Hefe, but I'm not much of a fan of Roxy Rolles. It's a little too hoppy to me but it's been a while since I had it.

I'm drinking the Roxy Rolles right now, and I really like it. Very dry, very hoppy for an amber. I like it though.

I've never been big on Hefeweziens, but we'll see what happens.

Okay, you guys are all crazy. I knew it. This is what my memory told me. Magic Hat #9 tastes like weak, shitty apricot beer. It's fucking mediocre to bad.

Why do all of you like this so much? It sucks.

Circus Boy and the other one...Idea Notion or something, were both good. As was Roxy Rolles. Magic Hat #9 sucks. Ass. Bad. One of the Top 10 worst beers I've had in the past year.

    All of ya'll are crazy.

It's light and fruity, and it tastes different than your average beer. I happen to like it, but I can seriously understand why people don't. Anyway, for an average beer drinker, its a nice change.

Okay everybody, I went with my buddy out to DiCarlo's in Mundelein, IL. Where you can make nonstop 6-packs of random beers because there are aisles and aisles of stuff.

We bought 34 different beers, that came to a total of $82.

Notable beers I'll be trying tonight:

    Chimay: Red, White, & Blue
St. Bernadus: Pater 6, Prior 8, and Wit

and a bunch of others. I'll let ya know how it goes.

I'm going to sample all 3 Chimay's tonight. And I'm going to try to not be bias. But if they are as yeasty and uncontrollably bubbly as I'm expecting (I've never had White), then I'm going to go rant against it til the end of time.

$4/apiece for a tiny bottle....it better be good. And let's hope the other St. Bernadus live up to Abt 12.

I've been on a Long Trail Ale kick this week.

There isn't much body to it, but for $7.99 per sixer its good/

It's a basic lighter Ale, but good taste and at 6.0 ABV you can't go wrong.

Completely passed out by 1:00 am. Had 8 or 9 beers, and of the above I tried St. Bernadus Wit, Chimay White, and St. Bernadus Pater 6.

The Wit was great, super smooth, I liked it a lot. My friend thought it sucked. The Chimay White was alright, pretty good, a little too bubbly. I like to swish beer around a bit so I can get a full taste of it, and with a lot of Belgians you simply can't do that because of all the yeast and it just turns to foam.

The Pater 6....I was just so drunk I don't remember.
