I agree. Take out Time Bomb, and I love that group of songs.

Take out AP and leave in Time Bomb, that's what I say. I'm probably in the minority.

I'd do the reverse. Alligator Pie is my favorite song on the album.

Time Bomb is one of my favorites, I know it is not what we wanted because we all know it could have been the next Two Step/Stone, but as it is, it is an awesome song that sounds nothing like anything they've done before. For those that don't like it, why don't you record yourself playing how you think it should have gone (if you can play that is) and let us hear it (and I don't mean that in a mean way just gives us your impression as to how it should have gone). Do it!

That is def. a high point for me. Squirm is a great studio track they just need to add a jam at the end live. A-Pie is my favorite off the album. Seven is awesome b/c it's good musically and it's nice to see them do something different. I'm in the minority here but I really like Time Bomb. Then Baby Blue is full of pure emotion.

I don't think I will do that, because that is a totally ridiculous thing to do.

Watch the videos of the band in the studio working on the song that became the intro to Time Bomb. That sounds, to me, like it had much more potential to be an interesting song than what Time Bomb became. That's how I would have liked to see it develop.

As it is...the first half is half-decent...then it just gets generic rock. Ooh Dave screams. Ok. Live it's a little better, admittedly. Studio just bores me.

I can't agree with any assesment that doesn't acknowledge LITHOG as being a high point, Carter's best work since Dreaming Tree.

I love the song, but I HAVE to listen to it with the rest of the album. It's kinda boring for me to listen to it by itself.

It's just that TB as it is feels more Stand Up than anything else. It's sort of interchangeable with Hunger. Neither one really rates on my list.

The difference is TB has so much potential, but they'd need to re-arrange it. If you give me an accurate chord progression (to cut my time on it in half) I'll create at least a midi of my take. I wouldn't waste studio time on it, but it'll be something. As I have said all along, my problem with it is the "explosion." The chords progression, the riff everything. It doesn't sound desperate enough.

Shake Me is a crappy song that is no better than Top 40 music that you all "hate".

Side C is my favourite side of the vinyl.
Unfortunately with LITHOG when it ends you've got to flip the side, so it can be convenient to put just that song on if you don't want to sit through Shake Me and Funny.
Dive In sounds amazing on vinyl, Carter's drums just sound such much more lifelike throughout the whole LP actually.

Crash used to be his best album, I think it's GrooGrux now.

those particular songs are definitely high points on the album...too bad funny is in between...that just kinda ruins that run for me, LITHOG into why i am is great and i like that into dive in, but not soaceman so much...i was just stating that i think tracks 8-12 is the best RUN on the cd..a definate high point..with 5 good if not GREAT songs. and u can burn me at the cross, but i LOVE time bomb and baby blue...time bomb is probably in my top three songs on the album

People who think LITHOG isn't the best song on the album... you are wrong.

Idk how I feel about Time Bomb. It starts out and you think it's gonna be the next Dreaming Tree, but then it quickly becomes this hard-rock song. It's....different.
