I used to think Dunham wrote Hannah as a purposefully unlikeable character. The more the show progresses, though, you realize she actually views Hannah as a sympathetic figure. That last scene was supposed to be rousing and romantic, but it came off as whiny Hannah once again having someone come bail her out.

I hate that Hannah was rewarded, but Adam doing that at least makes sense. He wasn't happy with the new chick. He was able to be himself with Hannah.

It was definitely a double edged scene for me. I was happy for Adam, but I didn't think Hannah deserved the big romantic payoff and was pissed that she got it.

It makes sense but I guess like Brian said I don't like how it was coupled with helping Hannah out of her self-made depression.

I actually felt bad for Adam. Hannah really ruined him in a lot of ways. We've all had that chick we think it great but ultimately proves self destructive. Wish he would have stayed with the hot broad, regardless of how bad a match they were.

Speaking of really hot, I didn't love how they resolved the whole Charlie/Marnie thing, but didn't hate it either.

Given the relationship between Marne and Charlie thing developed within the whole break up I was a little dissapointed with how easily it seemed to have resolved. I was hoping for a little more tension before an eventual payoff.

I love Lena, but couldn't help but laugh at an interview I just read where the reporter asked Lena why she always had to get naked almost every episode? He was applying that nobody wants to see that, but it a nice way.

adam's character is amazing.

his rant at 24:00 mark in the first episode of the new season shows that. He goes off about the columbian girl, and it may sound weird or dumb, but yet everyone is focused in on him. marne and shosh won't look away while he's talking.

Yeah that was outstanding. He's incredibly insightful, and I like how it feels like we (the audience) are getting to know him more and more.
