Very cool, good for Joel. Bring it back.

I'm sure the success of the Rifftrax guys has made him a bit jelly.

Hi, I'm Bob Evil (or Big McLargeHuge, I'm known by both names) Had to lurch out of the ether and a way too busy schedule that doesn't leave me time to post regularly anymore to make a point of posting some excitement for the prospect of this coming back for another season of any length. One of the first things I thought of was the fun I've had posting in this thread in the past. Would love to see this make a return. Joel set a pretty high fundraising goal, so don't be stingy with your contributions.

Lots of updates and progress since the campaign began. So far, they have raised enough to fund 3 episodes and are $750K away from being able to fund 3 more! Jonah Ray from Nerdist is gonna be the new host and Felcia Day is the new Mad!

If you donate more than $35, you will receive seven digital episodes which includes the first of the new season and 6 classic episodes, access to the live stream premier, wallpapers and ringtones, and a postcard sent to your house. Pretty sweet deal, especially with good quality downloads of seven episodes. Throw in a few more bucks for even more goodies!

Already pledged 10, but I'm gonna have to do the 35. $35 for 7 episodes is a steal in of itself (the DVD volumes of 4 episodes usually run at about $50 a pop), let alone all the other goodies that are coming along with it.

For $100 you'll get the full new season, whether that's 3 episodes, 12 episodes, or where ever they hit. Plus the other rewards from the prior levels. So that's a pretty cool deal I think.

Re: Mystery Science Theater 3000 Appreciation Thread

People! Great News! Just passed the threshold for 6 episodes and we're pushing for the next milestone of 9 episodes!

Also, the bigger news IMO, Patton Oswalt has been announced to be the new Evil Henchman! Everybody involved is going to be great with this new incarnation and are all genuine fans of the original series run. It would be great if we can raise enough money for a full 12 episode season in the hopes that it will translate for many more seasons to come.

Also, I believe there are still episode packages available on their Turkey-Day Marathon page where you buy individual episodes or a full 87 episode set.

    http://mst3k.com/kickstarter/addons/

Word is that there are gonna be more items available for purchase at their site starting tomorrow as well. I'm interested to see what those are.

So if you're at all interested in this and have been on the fence about supporting the campaign, hopefully this news and the cast of Patton, Felicia, and Jonah Ray will be enough to push you over the edge to toss in a few bucks. The reward packages are pretty nice for what you get while still helping to fund the project.

    WATCH OUT FOR SNAKES!

Greetings from the SOL, lots of new news and a new challenge. The goal is to reach $4.4 million by Tuesday and there are lots of new add-ons at MST3K.com and perks to the kickstarter levels.

New add-ons include a nice silk-screened poster, hoodie, calendar, as well as being able to make individual purchases of the kickstarter promos (shirt, mug, poster, etc).

Check out the latest update to get the full picture of whats available.

So it's official that the new season will have at least NINE episodes! About $1 million left to go to fully fund a 12 episode season.

The best deal available now on the Kickstarter is if you donate more than $85, you'll get the full new season of the show plus an additional 11 classic episodes to download. 20+ eps for $85 is not too shabby let alone from the fact that you are supporting production of the new show.

They did it! Not only did they hit their original goal of $5.5 million for a full 12 episode season, they hit $5.9 million which includes a 13th episode Christmas Special episode and also, they are officially the #1 highest crowd-funded media campaign of all time, surpassing Super Troopers 2 and Veronica Mars!

Congrats MST3000! Pretty excited about all the cameo potential:

    Jack Black
    Joel McHale
    Bill Hader
    Neil Patrick Harris
    Jerry Seinfeld

Had no clue Joel Hodgsen had this much pull. Patton Oswald I wasn't that surprised about because this seemed completely in his wheel house. But it sounds like comedians the world around are chipping in. So awesome.

Surprised Netflix didn't pick this up. I'm assuming they didn't get many views when they were on streaming a little while back.

I was wondering what their big comic con announcement was going to be. I don't have Netflix right now, so I'm glad I get all 14 episodes from my pledge deal.

It sounds like they are sending out all kinds of stuff.

So all episodes will be released at once correct? I believe they will be sending me a DVD with all of them on that day.

Have watched the first one so far, Reptilicus. Good, but it sounds like the rest of the season gets even better. You could tell this was a pilot run for the actual joke runs, but the whole presentation was well thought out and great.

I really like the in house band. Great feature.
