First reactions are out from press screenings.

Four post credit scenes were shown, and James Gunn has confirmed there's a fifth.

My guess is the four shown were minor funny things like the baby Groot dance at the end of Vol 1, and the one withheld has to do with other movies.

I enjoyed it, but I think Vol 1 was better. There were a lot of jokes that landed very well, but I think the movie suffered from putting in too many jokes. Several of them fell flat, like the taser face stuff and some of the insults between Rocket and Quinn. It felt like they were trying too hard to be funny. I was also underwhelmed by the primary villain. It just felt a little unsatisfying. It was still an enjoyable experience, but I don't feel the need to rush out and see it again right away.

That's the way I feel as well. I also thought the story/plot was extremely thin and they beat the family thing into the ground. There also wasn't a lot of character development and the only character who really had an arc was Nebula. I loved the first film so maybe my expectations were a little high for this one but it was just average at best.

Very much all of this. The taser face was forced and unfunny. They drug it out way longer than it needed to as well.

I agree with the villain. It felt more like they were answering a question from vol. 1 rather than having a villain specific to that film. And I didn't feel like they set him up in the film enough for me to care that he was defeated. It felt more like the GotG was just trying to get out of a bind.

For the first 1.5 hr I really wondered what the movie was going to accomplish. It lacked direction. The last hour was solid and made sense but it just felt disconnected.

As for Nebula, I hadn't thought about that until you mentioned it, but she really did have an incredible arc.

The things that a few of you above me touched upon are why I didn't enjoy it as much.

A lot of the humor felt forced, plot was a little weak. GotG v1 expanded the cosmic universe for MCU fans, wish we could have explored a little more in v2.

Yondu had some character arc as well. The stuff between him and Rocket was pretty great in my opinion. Other than that and Nebula, the movie felt pretty hollow. Definitely some funny jokes in places though.

Surprised to not have more reviews in here about it. I have wanted to go see it, but have been battling a cold since it came out and didn't want to hacking up a lung in a theater.

I put it off for a week or so but I heard it was being taken off my theater's UltraScreen for the new Alien movie this weekend and I wanted to see it on the biggest screen possible. It was worth it, some good visuals in this.

It's okay. If you want to get out of the house it's worth going to go do something. It's got great visuals so definitely worth seeing on the big screen but storewise, it falls short of Vol. 1 and has a lot of Marvel's cliche errors.
