Re: Spin-Off: Top Cities You Most Want to Visit

I loved Boston when I went. Fun town.

As for American cities I've never visited, I'd have to say San Francisco, Portland, and Denver have to be at the top of the list. I've only passed through Austin quickly, so I'd like to go back there, as well.

Internationally? Copenhagen, Amsterdam, London, Helsinki, Vienna, Rome, Sydney, Tokyo, Reykjavik, and probably plenty others I'm not thinking of at the moment.

DC is cool. I like it. All the touristsy places are cool but they get tiresome after a while. I just like the city in general. But maybe because that's the only city I go to on the regular bases.

    San Francisco
New Orleans (but it'd be a whole trip in the bayou, not just New Orleans proper)
    Nashville

Honorable mention: Seattle, Portland, Austin, DC (been there once, love to go again)

New York City is permanently on the list. I could go to NYC for vacation all the time. Love it.

True. And I guess it can't be beat for history buffs.

As much as I hate the city, I love the city.

Oh, and for the people saying Montreal, go to Quebec City instead. 1000x better and gets you much more of the french feel and much more of the old world European feel.

This is so interesting to me. I've lived 45 min outside NYC my whole life and I'm so over it at this point. It's crowded, it stinks, its always so busy, the traffic is fucking terrible. There are several cities I've been to that I much prefer over NYC. I suppose if you've never been or aren't used to it, it's a marvel to be there. But at this point in my life I just don't care to visit anymore. The only time I'll really ever go in is for work or to catch a Yankees game.

It's funny to hear you say this but you still want to visit Chicago. I can replace NYC with Chicago in your statement and it would still be accurate. The city is all of those things plus people are quite rude

    Maine or Oregon?

    Cities in the US:
    Seattle
    Vegas
    Anchorage (again)

    Outside US:
    Dublin
    Lisbon
    Rome

Any of those cities outside the US is more just wanting to visit the country. Would probably only spend a day or 2 in the city and then travel around the countryside.

There is something so magical about that city to me.

I actually lived there for 3 months and I would permanently live there if I could.

Macau is severely overrated and not that great but I guess cool to go to say you've been there. Hk is pretty cool for a big city, definitely recommend and so close to so many other amazing places in southern china.

If the world ever gets it's shit together I'd love to go to the Middle East. Cairo or something for the history, Dubai just to see how ridiculously nice it is.
Good lord, the Middle East has so many fascinating places, who would anyone want to visit Dubai. Couldn't pay me to go.
